Video Transcript for Review of etrailer Trailer Bearings Races Seals Caps - Bearing Kit - BK3-110

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this bearing kit for 6,000 pound axles that have the 2.125 inch spindles. Now, a 6,000 pound axle can come in two different applications. One will have the 2.125 grease seal and the other would have the 2.250 grease seal. The bearings will be the same, it's just the grease seals that are different. Now, the correct bearing kit for the 6,000 pound axle will be determined by that inner diameter of the grease seal.

This kit here is for the 6,000 pound axle that has the 2.125 diameter grease seal. Now if you do need the one that has the larger 2.250 grease seal, we do sell that one separately. It goes by part number of BK3-100. So with this kit, there's no need to search for separate components using this all inclusive bearing kit. It will include everything shown here on the table.

It'll include one inner bearing and the bearing race that this bearing will sit in. Includes an outer bearing and a bearing race for the outer bearing we operate in. We mentioned the grease seal. It is a double lip grease seal. You can tell by if you feel the rubber seal, there's two lips to it.

And again, it's the 2.125 inch diameter. Comes with a cotter pin and the easy lube spindle washer. Now if you do need the part numbers for these parts, they are located on the product page of this part number. And this whole assembly here is designed to save you time and ensure you have everything needed for a proper installation. These parts are designed to work seamlessly with easy lube systems.

This kit allow for nice, straightforward maintenance, reducing downtime, and keeping your trailer in top condition. And this bearing kit is a versatile solution compatible with popular brands like Lippert and Dexter axles. But that's gonna do it for a look at this bearing kit for 6,000 pound axles with the 2.125 inch spindles.

Proper fit but the race in included. Its hard to tell in this picture but the bearing is resting in the race. I ordered from my phone and the pic was so small and so I ordered races separately. The seal in the kit has a double lip.

The bearings and seals fit properly in my 2006 Eclipse Attitude, the price was good and shipping time was reasonable. 4 stars because they are not U.S. made but you get what you pay for.

Etrailer is a great company to work with.
The bearing kit was an excellent choice and it was packaged very well. They have educational YouTube videos, not only about this product but also on the installation process.
They are also a company who strives on communication. I was informed when my order was shipped, when it would arrive and when I had a concern they were quick to help me find a solution.
Thank you for helping me with my RV needs.

Great products for my trailer. Jesse D in customer service was very helpful went above and beyond to find the right product for my trailer. Including contacting the axel manufacturer to be sure I got the proper parts!! Awesome CSR!

They are working just fine.

by:

Well pleased with this product as a complete unit verses individual pricing...
The only issue I saw was packaging of bearings, and would recommend individual wrapping of parts.
In my line of work and bearing experience, it is not good to have bearings shipped in same bag or allowed to be metal to metal causing them to rub each other or shipped inside their races. Reason for this is possible bearing and/or race dings or damages that could occur during delivery of these items. We all know that all of the known shipping companies do not take the best of care of our items even if they were stamped "Do Not Throw" or "Fragile".
Other than packaging of bearings, I am very pleased with the experienced I have with etrailer!

by:

My order was placed by Jamie , I wasn't sure of my vintage Dexter axel's size , she located the bearings and seals and shipped them out, Customer service by her was excellent and to top it off best price I could find . Without a doubt will pass the word and will be shopping at etrailer for now on .Thank You Jamie S and etrailer

by:

The inner bearing was exactly what I needed and fitment was great. The kit I chose was a shot in the dark due to the only identifying number was on the inner bearing race. The outer bearing was wrong and the lock washer wouldn't work but that's nobody's fault. Turns out the local part store had the exact outer bearing I needed, a 1987 Mercury uses the same outer bearing. Etrailer.com has the best deal around for a bearing kit!!

by:

I am very pleased with the service I received from etrailer.com. With very little information I provided, part numbers for only three parts, they were able to help me track down all other parts needed to replace the bearings in my trailer. Very excellent service.

by:

Dealing with eTrailer is seamless. You get what you order in a timely manner. In this case these bearings and seal fit my trailer well. I am happy and will order from them again.

by:

I received the parts (bearing kits)on time and very easy online ordering process. I would recommend them as I have ordered with them previously with excellent results

Still working perfectly. No problems at all.

I purchased these as spares to carry in the truck in case of a bearing failure on the trailer on the road. You have to have these ahead of time, because on the road, 1) you will probably not know your bearing size, which may be different for inner and outer, and 2) good luck finding them at 6:00 at night. I never have had to use them, but you need to research which hubs your trailer manufacturer used on the trailer (Dexter is common), and then find bearing specs from hub manufacturer, and then order spares from etrailer.com.

9,000 lb. boat and tandem trailer.

Nice job "e-Trailer"; received this "heavy" order very promptly; did not expect it so quickly in view of how other retailers/ manufacturers/ on-line businesses are behind in fulfilling orders. Packages (3) came all intact, well packed and product received in great condition. The order included:
> 5-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Hook End for 6,000-lb Trailer Axles (2)
> U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 8,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles - 8" Long U-Bolts (2)
> Tandem-Axle Trailer Equalizer Kit for 2" Slipper Springs - 10-1/8" Long Equalizers (2)
> Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 6K (2)
> Mounting Bolts and Hardware for 12" Brake Assemblies (2)
> Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 2441SS - Stainless Steel (Pair) (2)
> Bearing Kit, 15123/25580 Bearings, GS-2125DL Seal (4)
> Optronics LED Combination Trailer Tail Lights - Submersible - 40 Diodes - Driver and Passenger Side.
These items are being utilized in the total suspension replacement of a 10,000 gvwr tandem axle trailer. Good sized job for a DIY'er. I expect that it will give my JD 2038 tractor a smooth and safe ride as it is towed/ hauled down the highway.
Thank you.
I would/will strongly recommend to a friend/relative or associate.
( I'd take a picture of the "project", but there is a vicious rain storm occurring outside; perhaps one or two pics to follow at a later time).

by:

Etrailer's web site is a snap to navigate and very easy to identify and order the high quality replacement parts for my boat trailer. I received email update when the package shipped with estimated date for delivery, which ended up being 5 business days. Outstanding! I highly recommend Etrailer.

  • Replacement Bearing Kit For Dexter 6,000 lb Axle 2266389
Hey David, thanks for the picture. I was able to track down a spec sheet for your Dexter axle which I have included below. The 031-029-02 bearing is item # 15123 and the 031-030-02 bearing is item # 25580. For a bearing kit you can use part # BK3-110 which will come with both bearings, races, grease seal, spindle washer and cotter pin.

Hey there Mark! That's a great idea to stock up on some spare parts. Most people don't have the foresight like that. You will need either Bearing Kit, 15123/25580 Bearings, GS-2125DL Seal # BK3-110 or Bearing Kit, 15123/ 25580 Bearings, 10-36 Seal # BK3-100 depending on if you have the 2.125" or 2.250" inner diameter seal. You likely have the 2.250" I.D. seal but you'd need to check the part number or measure the seal to verify, unfortunately. The only difference in the kits is the grease...

  • Replacement Bearings and Seals for 2007 Montana 3700RL
Hey Braxton! Since you have 6k axles I can tell you you either need Bearing Kit # BK3-100 (2.25" inner diameter grease seal) or # BK3-110 (2.125" ID grease seal). For the Timken you looked at it is either the # TMK42VR (2.25") or # TMK82VR (2.125"). I don't have a way to look this up using your VIN, but if you can give me the manufacturer and serial number off of your axle tag I can verify the right grease seal size. You could also pull the hubs and measure.

We have two bearing kits that could fit for your Dexter 6,000 lb axles. The difference is the seal size. The part # BK3-100 is the kit that has the correct bearings and a seal with an inner diameter of 2.25 inches. This is most likely what you need. The other options is the part # BK3-110 which has a grease seal with an inner diameter of 2.125 inches. You would need to measure the outer diameter of the spindle your seal rides on to determine which kit you'd need.
