Video Transcript for Review of TruRyde Trailer Hubs and Drums - Agricultural Hub Assembly - AH15450ECOMP

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at this agricultural trailer hub assembly for 3,000 pound axles. Has a four on five inch bolt pattern. Now this agricultural trailer hub, it's designed to fit on implement wagons, carts, or machinery that have the four on five inch bolt pattern. This hub has a 1,500 pound load capacity when used with the hub on the other side. It'll meet the 3,000 pound axle capacity that it fits on.

These agricultural hubs are designed for low speed applications, so that load capacity I mentioned is based on a 20 mile per hour maximum speed. This one here is designed for use on a spindle part number of AS1500E. And as you can see, it will include everything laid out here on the table. It includes the hub with the bearing races already installed. Comes with the inner bearing, which is part number LM6748, which is stamped on there.

Comes with the outer bearing, which is stamped with part number LM11949. Comes with the grease seal that'll go in the back here after your bearing is installed. And it comes with the grease cap that'll cover the front bearing. Also comes with four of the 1/2 by 20 size wheel bolts. These wheel bolts is what'll screw into that bolt pattern to hold your wheel to the hub assembly.

Now this is a very easy maintenance. If you notice at the top here, it has this grease Zerk fitting on the hub and that allows you to connect your grease gun to that and pump grease into the bearings without having to take apart your hole hub assembly. Now the hub diameter, which is this measurement from this end to this end, is 6-1/2 inches. The pilot hole diameter, which is measured from this to here, this pilot hole is 3.62 inches. And then the bolt pattern we mentioned is the four and it's a five inch bolt pattern.

And when we say four on five inch, what we're saying is it's four lugs. And the five inch measurement is if you would measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center from that hole or this one to this one, that measurement would be five inches. But that's gonna do it for the review on the agricultural trailer hub assembly for 3,000 pound axles.

  • What are the Overall Dimensions of the Dexter Agricultural Hub Assembly # AH15450ECOMP
I pulled the Dexter Hub Assembly, # AH15450ECOMP, from the warehouse and made a simple diagram showing the outer dimensions for you to check out, see photo. This hub comes with the bearings, seal, grease cap and lug bolts. This hub fits spindle # AS1500E. If you are not sure what spindle you have or if this hub will fit on your spindle, then you can compare the part numbers of your current bearings to those with this hub assembly or you can take a few measurements of your spindle. • Recommended Replacement Trailer Wheel and Hub for Old 4 on 5 Inch Agricultural Hub
Unfortunately we don't have any wheels with the 4 on 5 bolt pattern even though we do have one hub # AH15450ECOMP with that pattern. We have many wheels with the 4 on 4 inch, 4 on 4-1/2 inch, and 4 on 9.44 inch bolt patterns. I've linked the page to all our wheels to assist. I recommend replacing your hubs so that you can get a bolt pattern compatible with wheels that size. I have attached an article to assist with measuring if needed but you may be able to get the bearing numbers printed...

  • Availability of Hubs That Use Inner Bearing LM67048 and Outer Bearing LM11949
We do not have any hubs or hub/drums in a 5-on-4-1/2 bolt pattern that use your particular bearings. The bearings in a replacement hub must match those in your originals in order for the hub to fit on your spindles. We do offer one idler hub that uses inner bearing LM67048 and outer bearing LM11949 and that is 4-on-5 bolt pattern agricultural idler hub # AH15450ECOMP. This hub kit includes bearings, races and a grease seal and it is rated for off-road use up to 20-mph.

  • Correct Replacement Trailer Hub with .750 Inch Outer Bearing
I believe we have what you're looking for in the Trailer Hub Assembly part # AH15450ECOMP which uses a LM67048 inner bearing (1.250") and a LM11949 outer bearings (0.750"). This is the only trailer hub assembly we offer which uses the LM11949 bearing. This hub has a 4 on 5" bolt pattern.

  • Availability Of Wheel With a 4 on 5" Bolt Pattern
I am afraid we do not carry any wheels with a 4 bolt pattern of 5 inches. The only 4 lug wheels we offer will be a 4 on 4. We may have tires for you, but unfortunately no wheels. We do offer one hub which uses the 4 on 5 bolt pattern with part # AH15450ECOMP. This bolt pattern is uncommon these days. We really only see this on agricultural equipment. It may be possible to replace your hub with a standard 4 on 4 hub. We would need to know inner and outer bearing sizes of the current hub...

  • Is There a Trailer Hub/Bearing with 1.18 Inner Diameter
I do have a possible solution for you in the Trailer Hub Assembly part # AH15450ECOMP which uses a LM67048 (1.250") inner bearing and LM11949 (.750') outer bearing. This hub has a 4 on 5" bolt pattern, it's commonly used in agricultural applications. It's the only hub we offer with this bearing combo. Unfortunately, we don't have any hubs/bearings which have a 1.18" inner diameter.

  • Information on Bearing Number LM11949
This Bearing, part # LM11949, is most commonly used with the Agricultural Hub Assembly, 4 Bolt, 5 inch Circle, part # AH15450ECOMP. If you are attempting to replace existing bearings, you will just need to check your current bearings for the part number LM11949 to ensure you are ordering the correct replacement bearings.

  • Replacing the Hub on an Older Homemade Trailer With Bearing LM11949
The hub assembly we offer with bearing # LM11949 is an agricultural hub, # AH15450ECOMP. This hub is intended for agricultural use, and the outer bearing measurement you mentioned does not match the outer bearing used by this hub and spindle. This axle uses bearings that are nonstandard, so it may be easier for your to swap out the axle for a new one that uses standard bearings. I've added a link to a list of all our available axles to see if we have one that will work for you.

  • Trailer Hub Seal Recommendation for Hub with Race LM11910

  • Hub Recommendation for Trailer Spindle that Measures 1.25 and .75 inches
It sounds like you are in need of an agricultural hub like the part # AH15450ECOMP that has a diameter of .75 where the inner bearing rides and 1.25 inches where the outer bearing rides. This hub has a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern so if you needed one with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern you would want the part # T1721400042.

  • Replacement Axle Recommendation for a Snowmobile Trailer with Non Standard Hubs
I wish I had a hub that would work on the spindles you have on your trailer. But none of the hubs we carry work with your bearing combination. That outer bearing you have is the problem. It's usually only used on agricultural hubs like part # AH15450ECOMP. Honestly your best option would be to replace the axle. I attached a page that has all of our axles we carry that come with hubs that have 4 on 4 inch bolt patterns. You will need to know the distance between the hub faces on your axle...

  • Determining Capacity of an Old Trailer Axle with No Information on the Axle
The 15123 bearing is still common but I could not find any information on the 09057 bearing. But given that your hubs have the 4 bolt pattern it is likely that the axle is rated under 3,000 pounds. Most likely it is a 2,000 pound axle. Measure the spindle where the 09057 bearing rides using calipers such as # PTW80157 I can see if there is a different bearing with the same inner diameter that is commonly used with 15123 and go from there. Since you still have the trailer frame as well...

  • Availability of Hub for LM11949 Bearing
Is both your inner and outer bearing the same part number? The only hub we offer that uses a LM11949 bearing would be the # AH15450ECOMP agricultural hub assembly, but it used a LM67048 inner bearing, which has a 1.25 inch inner diameter. An agricultural hub is typically used on farm equipment for low speed applications, under 20 mph or less.

The hub has a 1500 lb each/3000 lb per axle, and is designed for low speed applications. The bolt pattern is 4 on 5 (4 lugs on 5 inches, center to center). It sounds like your existing hub uses a LM67048 inner/LM11949 bearing. The only hubs we offer that would be compatible with that bearing set would be an agricultural hub like # AH15450ECOMP which is meant for low-speed use (20 mph or less) on equipment like implement wagons and other agricultural equipment that's not used on public roads. Trailer Hub Assembly - 3,000 lbs Axles - 4 on 5 - Agricultural, part # AH15450ECOMP.
