How to Measure for a Replacement Hub

Hi - I have a 1959 sterling trailer with a wheel hub that has a crack in it. I am looking for a replacement, but have had no luck with trailer stores near me. I have a detailed drawing that I could send you to see if you can find something that would work. Thanks in advance...

Hey Jeff! You can email that picture to me directly if you would like. However, in order to find a replacement I would need to know what size bearings it uses and your lug pattern. There should be part numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings. If you can't read the numbers on them, then you can measure the spindle at points C and D to get the inner diameter so that we can verify the correct fit.
You'll need to use a digital caliper like item # PTW80157 to get the most accurate measurement possible down to the 3rd number past the decimal point.

Thanks Jerred, The hub is a 4 lug, but it uses bolts not studs. The bearings are Timken L44645, (the 5 is not fully formed, but that's what it probably is) The spindle measured 1.002 with my caliper. I don't see a way to attach a picture in this format, I will respond to the email you sent w a pic. Thanks!
