Lets Go Aero Trailer Hitch Lock - 63232

  • Fits 2 Inch Hitch
  • Universal Anti-Rattle Lock
  • Keyed Unique
  • 3-1/2 Inch Span
  • Lets Go Aero
  • Spring-Loaded Pin

This anti-rattle hitch pin dramatically reduces any movement or vibration of your ball mount in your hitch. Included lock ensures security for your hitch accessory. Designed for use on hollow-shank ball mounts and accessories. 5/8" Pin diameter.

  • Trailer hitch receiver lock is used in place of standard pin and clip to prevent theft of ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory
    • Secure your bike rack, cargo carrier, hitch cover, and more to your trailer hitch
  • Anti-rattle pin reduces play and vibration in the hitch connection
    • Place block with spring inside shank of ball mount or hitch accessory
    • Slide ball mount or accessory into hitch receiver
    • Insert pin through hitch pin hole and anti-rattle block with spring
    • Twist pin with wrench (sold separately) so ball mount or accessory is pulled tight against side of hitch receiver wall
  • 90 Degree, barrel-style lock comes with 2 round, rubber-coated keys
    • Weather-resistant rubber dust cap keeps cylinder free of debris
  • Zinc finish is corrosion resistant
  • Sturdy steel construction

  • Application: 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers
    • Ball mount or hitch accessory must have a hollow shank
  • Pin diameter: 5/8"
  • Inside pin length (span): 3-1/2"
  • Overall length: 5-1/2"
  • 30-Day warranty

  • This lock is not rated for use for flat towing.
  • This lock will not work with some factory 2" trailer hitches that have an outside width wider than 3-1/2". If a longer pin length is needed, see hitch lock SHP2040-XL
  • This device can only be used with hollow-shank ball mounts and hitch accessories.

The Silent Hitch Pin from Let's Go Aero takes the rattle and play out of the connection between your trailer hitch and your ball mount or hitch accessory. The unique design features a sturdy steel block with an attached spring that sits inside the shank of your hitch-mounted accessory.

Silent Hitch Pin DiagramSilent Hitch Pin Close Up

Place the block inside your ball mount or hitch accessory, and line up the hole in the block with the pin hole in your ball mount. Slide your ball mount into your hitch and insert the hitch pin. To activate the anti-rattle device, just twist the pin with a wrench (sold separately) to tighten it down. Doing this will pull the accessory up against the wall of your hitch receiver, thus keeping the accessory from moving around inside your hitch. No more annoying clanking or vibrating.

The 90 degree, barrel-style lock goes on the end of the anti-rattle pin to provide security for your hitch-mounted accessories. Two round, rubber-coated keys are included with the lock. A sturdy rubber dust cap comes attached to the barrel lock so that you can easily cover the lock cylinder, thus ensuring that no dirt or grime will get in to damage the lock.

This anti-rattle hitch pin dramatically reduces any movement or vibration of your ball mount in your hitch. Included lock ensures security for your hitch accessory. Designed for use on hollow-shank ball mounts and accessories. 5/8" Pin diameter.

I have ordered and used this device before. What is disgraceful is the respect shown toward products shipped from etrailer. While the two devices/parts I ordered probably could have through a war zone without any damage, the fact is IF they are beaten out of the box while in shipping is not right. Add some appropriate packing. Grade F on your packaging.

Instructions easy to follow and assemble. Now I’m able to secure and not have the cargo move around while driving. Just make sure you don’t lose keys lol.

There wasn’t enough room on my Curt hitch to use this quite pin to secure my RoadMaster spare tire carrier. I used the bolt pin that came with the carrier and will install a separate lock on it.
However this silent pin will do nicely on the cargo carrier I will install on the RoadMaster spare tire carrier hitch.

We sold that RV in February to get a one with more storage however for more than 10,000 miles of bumping down the road the Curt hitch performed flawlessly.

I purchased this for use on my 2017 VW Alltrack with an Ecohitch 2 in receiver. I have a Thule T2 Classic bike rack with a 1-1/4 inch shank and didn't want to purchase the replacement shank. I instead purchased # HT02 to allow the receiver to accept the smaller 1-1/4 and # 63232 to stabilize the rack and stop the rattle.

The combination is perfect. # 63232 acts as both an anti-rattle device, as well as a hitch lock. Installation took 5 minutes and was super straightforward. Because the pin is threaded, be sure to use a torque wrench to not accidentally over-torque the pin and strip the threads or just tighten until the rattle stops.

A year in and the the Lets Go Aero Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock still does its job. The only issue that Ive run into is that I am unable to remove it from my hitch. The tubular metal sleeve that fits around the lock pin seems to have rusted itself locked. I havent been able to remove it and cannot remove my hitch rack as a result.
Ryan F - 09/23/2018

If your hitch is open at the back using some WD-40 and spraying down the hitch lock and anti-rattle device as best as you can, and let it sit and try again to remove the pin. You may need to use a hammer and persuade the pin, but try not to damage the bolt head portion. If the hammer does not work you might try using an impact wrench and a socket, or a socket and a cheater bar to try to get the treads to spin free. Worst case scenario you may need to use a cut off wheel and cut down the hitch pin and then using a drill bit drill out either side to see and try to remove the stinger. Just make sure that you do not use a drill bit larger than a 5/8 inch (diameter of your hitch pin) or any kind of torch that would damage your hitch.

Used with a cargo carrier and didn't give any problems. After we were done using it, I used it for our normal hitch as well. Sturdy and problem-free.

Curt 60x20 folding basket, Curt bag and anti rattle locking pin. We purchased this set up to open up interior space in our 2019 Toyota Highlander with OEM hitch receiver. We can now better access the third row without climbing over luggage.

This device was very easy to install as shown in videos. I like this receiver hitch lock because it adds another layer of theft protection and resolves the rattle issue. It's brilliant! Highly recommend it...

Works great and also really stabilize my winch

Awesome, my winch is secure and the lock stabilized it . I torqued it to spect and the lock never came loose under the vibration from the road . I got 2 locks as my winch can be move to the front or back of my truck I recommend this product

Easy assembly, no personal tools required, tools supplied. I had the unit assembled in about 15 min.
If it were made in the USA, it would be even better.

completely satisfied with the Anti-rattle receiver lock

Hitch lock arrived a day early; Score 1 for! Looked exactly as pictured online; Score 1 more for! Installed quickly and easily as instructions indicated; scores again! It works as advertised, snugging up the trailer ball so there is absolutely no rattle there! And the rubber covered lock and keys make it about as close to theft proof as you can get, so gets a 4th star! The lock itself, of course, is not exactly rattle free, and I don't know how it could be and still be accessible to remove. Plus there is still going to be some noise from the safety chains of the trailer, but that has nothing to do with the anti-rattle lock, so I'm going the whole 5 stars! Well made, and as secure and quiet as can be done! Love it!

I ordered for all the right reasons. Quality, ease of ordering, etrailer presence on social media, free shipping, expedient receipt of products. In “my” haste, one of the features of my B&W trailer hitch does not work on my vehicle. My Chevy Suburban has a rear valance that wii not allow me to rotate the ball hitch underneath the vehicle. I’m very impressed with the Areo silent hitch pin.

Worked as advertised. Easy to install. However, instructions a bit off. Need to put sleeve onto bolt after it is inserted, but before tightening it down. Sleeve will not seat after tightening and cap lock won’t seat unless sleeve is seated into hitch extension.

Installed the nut and finger treaded the bolt into the assembly and nut. Once finger tight used the wench to tighten it all up. Upon removal I was unable to loosen the bolt with the wench. Working the bolt with a socket wrench I was able to get the bolt out but treads on both the bolt and the nut are damaged. I'm amazed that this big bolt and nut could be stripped so easily.

I had exactly the same problem!

Makes our hitch mounted cargo carrier very stable. A must have. Really sturdy product.

The product was what I expected but the box was completely in tatters. In shreds, torn and tattered, I'm surprised the item (storage rack made of steel) survived without incident. The thought of the hassle to rebox (at least a roll of tape) and send back would turn me off of etrailer for good. Thanks for reaching out for my thoughts.

I will have our customer service team reach out to you.

This is the best no rattle from the hitch and stays tight. I put about 700 miles on towing the race trailer with the sxs in it and no slap from the hitch when taking off or braking

I just installed this product on my hitch. I have not used the hitch as of yet. The product is well made and I don't see and problem with its use.

Easy to install and did a great job unstopping any movement of bike rack.

I love thia ubit it is the best bike rack on the market. The anti rattle is great and I can open my tail gate on my Jeep jr.

Like the cargo carrier and anti rattle lock. The carrier goose neck shank elevated carrier greater ground clearance.

This device should be required for anyone using a hitch-mounted carrier. Very heavy duty in construction. Excellent quality. I used in tandem with an additional device so their is no lateral or up and down slack in the hitch.

I selected the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier (#C18153) to assist with moving students in/out of college dorms. The carrier was very easy to assemble and attach to the vehicle. I chose the anti-rattle trailer hitch receiver lock (#63232) to ensure noise was minimized when on the road - works great! I also added a cargo carrier LED light kit with mounting brackets (#98174LED, #BK70BB) and a Hopkins heavy-duty 7-way to 4-wire coiled adapter (#HM47065). As others have commented, the light kit wiring harness is not long enough to reach the vehicle plug. The coiled adapter provided a great solution. Using the eTrailer web site has taken the mystery out of finding cargo moving solutions.

It’s a great product. I’ve moved it around to my various hitches and it is easy to use and makes a solid connection that is quiet. Thanks etrailer for fast service, and following up via email to assure things I have purchased are up to snuff. Will continue being a customer after multiple purchases. Thanks

A bit on the pricey side, but does what it advertises. Happy with the product after using on a few camping trips. I have this cargo carrier: We load it down with hundreds of pounds of camping equipment and use the hitch lock to secure it from moving. We also camp in the backcountry using poor access roads at times and the lock keeps the heavy loads from shifting on uneven terrain. I would recommend this product to anyone that is using either a bike rack or cargo carrier and is trying to reduce movement of the accessory.

When I bought the hitch this is what the site has recommended so I bought it. It turns out it doesn't fit! Donna M, their customer service also confirmed and told me that she was also confused why their site recommend this. Worse is I have to pay the shipping to return it. This is the worst kind of customer service, penalizing a customer for etrailer's own incompetence. Be warned! I will never buy again from etrailer and will tell all my friends to avoid buying from etrailer.
