The Erickson Big Bed Junior Load Extender, Item # EM07605, has a load bar that is 51 inches. It fits 2 inch receivers and has a total weight capacity of 350-lbs. It has five height adjustment points which gives you more flexibility. It can move and rattle so I recommend an anti-rattle device like Item # 63232 to keep it more secure.

I have added a video with more details for you to check out.

Would it be able to hold a 250 lbs ATV with the rear tires on the loading bar and the front on the tail gate of a truck?

Capacity-wise I don't think the Erickson Load Extender would have a problem with the rear tires of your ATV, but stability/safety might be another issue. You would really have to tie the ATV down properly each time to ensure a secure attachment and I'm worried that simple bumps in the road might lead to problems. I think a different type of bed extender would offers a better solution - if you can tell me what model truck you have I will be happy to make a specific recommendation.

@DanielS Thanks so much for the info. I'm not sure if you need the extra space that the T-loader would give you, but if not, a sturdy bed extender great option.
