Can Malone U-Bolt Anti-Rattle Work with etrailer Hitch Aligner e39YR

I purchased the Hitch Pin Alignment Collar for 2 Hitch Accessories - Yellow Part Number: e39YR Today. My question is will my Malone Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock System Part Number: MPG908 work together with this or will I need to purchase a different type of anti-rattle?

Hey David, the etrailer hitch aligner part # e39YR and the Malone Anti-Rattle Device part # MPG908 won't be able to install at the same time as they both occupy the same area on the shank and hitch. Best option would be like the anti-rattle device part # 63232 which has it's anti-rattle components inside the shank of the hitch accessory. You would have to have a hollow shank for this to fit and work though so let me know if that's the case.

I used to have a fleet of trailers at work. Here is what I do for the following- alignment of hitch into receiver use a paint pen in high contract color and draw a line a the receiver and hitch once you have the pin in. this way you will always be able to put hitch in and then put pin in. Anti rattle - if once you tighten down the u bolt and the angled part of the anti-rattle device you need to make sure it is really tight- if you still get a rattle use a cut piece of tire innertube or tire treads and put under the lip of the anti-rattle and then tighten down. this will act as a shim but form to the tightened edge and be super secure- still tighten bolts to correct torque specks

I purchased the Malone unit and have been pleased with it. One can easily tighten it to the point that the hitch no longer rattles. Unclear as to Gary's issue stating it will not tighten enough. Only issue I can think of is he may be trying to use on a lower class hitch which is smaller dimensions. I have been pleased with this unit.
