The heavy-duty SkyLine towers allow you to mount 2 Yakima crossbars to your vehicle with fixed mounting points, flush side rails, or tracks. The towers adjust during installation to ensure your crossbars are level. The SkyLines' versatile BarBeds accommodate Yakima's full line of crossbars. The towers install with Yakima's Landing Pad system .
Versatile BarBed
The SkyLine's BarBed is specifically designed to work with Yakima's entire line of crossbars.
The BarBed is curved to accommodate the elliptical shape of the CoreBar and JetStream crossbar. The CoreBar includes brackets that slide over the bar and secure to the towers with bolts. The JetStream attaches directly to the tower with bolts.
The towers also work with Yakima RoundBars with adapters . The adapters slide over the bars and secure to the towers with bolts.
The crossbars mount to the SkyLine towers with the included torque tool. The tool clicks 3 times once you've reached the correct amount of torque so you don't have to worry about over- or under-tightening.
Simple Installation with Landing Pads
The towers install with custom-fit Landing Pads . To mount a tower simply open the cover, set the tower on the Landing Pad, and close the cover.
Mounting posts on the bottom of the tower extend when the cover is closed to lock the tower in place on the Landing Pad.
Each tower's pitch can be adjusted up to 6 degrees forward or backward during installation. This lets you create a level mounting surface for your gear even on a curved roof. Simply loosen the bolt near the top of the tower assembly, adjust the position of your bar, and then re-tighten the bolt.
Same Key System Locks
SkyLine towers are compatible with Yakima SKS lock cores (Y07204 - sold separately) that allow you to secure the roof rack to your roof. The SKS locks are all keyed alike so a single key opens all the locks. The locks can also be swapped out to make all of your Yakima products keyed alike.
These adapters allow you to mount Yakima HD crossbars on BaseLine, SkyLine, TimberLine, or RidgeLine roof rack towers. Kit includes 4 adapters.

Ive had the rail system on my truck for about a year now and its been a tremendous help. It allows me to still use my bed and provides much needed extra storage space, mostly for all the dog items we carrycrates, gates, beds, food, etc. I like the fact the rail locks to the truck so I dont need to remove them at home or at our destination.
It was what it was advertised and fit perfectly on my 2023 Ford Maverick
Ordered the Yakima HD overhaul rack system and needed to get another set to customize my mollie gear system. Worked out great. Yakima is one of the top brands
These aerodynamic racks are strong and quiet and work perfectly with the adjustable supports. The T-slots allow several accessory items to be installed bith above and below the crossbars. Love them.
My local vendor here in Hawaii had everything I needed for my rack install except 2 pairs of the Yakima HD Crossbars. Due to supply chain issues, it was unknown when the would come in. etrailer to the rescue. HD bars we’re in stock. Site navigation, price, checkout, and shipping were excellent. Yakima HD Crossbars are excellent. Thanks to etrailer, I was able to finish my rack project.
These crossbars were easy to install and adjust. Be sure to get all the pieces you need. There is no mention of the Landing Pads necessary to use these.
etrailer was a great place to order, quick and easy. Yakima products however are over priced and overly complicated.

I had a difficult time identifying whether these were the correct adapters for the rack towers that I was purchasing to fit my tracks but that has more to do with yakima doing everything a-la-cart instead of having kits that include everything you need if I hadn't already had the HD bars on my other rack and wanted to be able to transfer them to this rack I probably wouldn't have went to this expense because I think they are overpriced.AS far as etrailer is concerned I always receive great service and products and they are always well packaged and never damaged by poor delivery care and always fast delivery speed.

Yakima SkyLine Towers are well-designed and well-executed. They easily fit into the Yakima Landing Pads and form a tight fit when closed. And they also fit nicely into the Yakima JetStream Crossbars when following the Yakima instruction manual and various YouTube videos. I did run into a snag at first where I found the rubber seal on one SkyLine Tower getting caught on the JetStream Crossbar track, but after that I was careful not to let that happen with the other towers.
I find the appearance of the Yakima SkyLine Towers to match their level of quality in materials and design.
Fit good with the OE track on roof. I like the new covers they supplied with the mounts.

The roof rack works well. The only problem I have is noise and while I'm carrying a ladder there is none. I figured if I take the ladder off I'll split a piece of pvc pipe and mount that on the front of it. But they work well for what I needed for work. The service from etrailer was excellant. I dealt with Carol and she did a very good job in helping me.
