Question:

I have a 2016 Toyota 4runner with no roof rails. I sold them a few years ago when I planned to purchase a Rhino Rack backbone/pioneer platform from you. That never happened, but now my wife and I are purchasing kayaks and looking for any options besides the pioneer platform or repurchasing OEM rails. Do you know of any rail/crossbar options that would install to the existing holes on the bare roof of my 4runner? Im not averse to drilling holes into a mounting plate or rail base if necessary. Thanks for your assistance.

The standard roof rack fits for your 2016 Toyota 4Runner are all designed for the factory raised rails, but since you said you were okay with drilling holes you could add a track system to your roof. You would use whichever length is right for your 4Runner, the Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126 or 54" Tracks # Y01127.

Then you'd just need the following:

- Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425

- SkyLine Towers # Y53TR

- Landing Pad 1 # Y00221

You'd need a total of four of the Landing Pad 1, and they come in a pair so you'd need to order a quantity of two of the # Y00221.
