Hello. I have the new 2021 Toyota RAV4 with the factory flush rails. Im looking to get a Yakima skyline tower solution and their steel or aluminum 70 crossbars. Im not exactly sure what I need to make this work. Theres a lot of options and pieces and its a bit overwhelming. The filter is saying the 70 bars arent compatible with my car. Is it just because its going to hang over too far which Im not worried about or will it actually not fit due to the positioning on my car? If this is the case what it the widest option I would have available?

I understand how it can be overwhelming at first, but that's why I'm here! I do like the Yakima Skyline Towers # Y53TR so definitely get those. The Skyline towers need to mount to what they call a Landing Pad. For your 2021 Toyota Rav4 you need the Landing Pad 23 # Y98FR. The landing pad will use a threaded hole inside your tracks to secure it to your vehicle and the Skyline towers will connect to that!
As far as bars go, the longest crossbar length kitted for your 2021 Toyota Rav4 is 55 inches. The longer the bar, the more likely it is that you'll hit your head on it. Trust me, I've done it many times and it doesn't feel good.
I do recommend getting the Yakima JetStream Crossbars not only because they're aluminum but also because of the T-Track on top. This is good for all sorts of accessories and is quite useful. I can't recommend using such a long bar but I've seen a lot of crazy things on the road. That being said, here is the 60 inch bar # Y00426 and here is the 70 inch bar # Y00427
