Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a quick look at this Landing Pad One for Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers. Now, these are going to provide mounting points for your Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers. And these are going to fit with the C shaped factory rack tracks. And you're just going to attach these to your factory tracks with the anchor plates and screws that you see right here. And if you notice, these also include snap-on covers for protection when the towers are not in use.
So that's a nice addition to this set. And you are going to receive two pads. And again, all the hardware that you're going to need to install them along with a great set of instructions to guide you through the installation process. And this does have a lifetime warranty from Yakima. And that's going to conclude our brief look today.

Om my 1996 Ford Explorer, after the plastic factory cross bars failed, I was able to use the etrailer web site and tech support to determine that landing pads were available that fit the factory track and would allow me to use my Yakima towers and round bars. This was a great fix!

These will mount to the rhino rack tracks so I could use my Yakima control towers and rack.
I've been using the roof rack a lot in the last year for recreation and for work. They give me confidence that the load will stay put, and arrive safely. I also take them off frequently since they hum happily at highway speeds, so I'm happy that the bars are easy to lock on or take off.
Bought these Landing Pad 1 bases to use with Yakima tracks on a Leer camper shell on my 2016 F150. The bases are very easy to install and worked perfect with my Control towers. Great quality as expected with Yakima.

Disclosure: I have not had the chance to use the product yet. This review is for Etrailer specifically and the purchase process on these products. I am new to these racks so I read an Etrailer forum on what parts to buy. Trusting their help, they recommended the Yakima landing pads, the Highline towers, and the HD bars; so I ordered. At no time did they or the computer ask me to order the metal adaptor to ATTACH the bars. Being new to the rack system, they should have been on top of this and disclosed that I would not be able to use ANY of my products till I had these tiny metal adaptors. I.E. "Have you bought the correct adaptor to mount your bars?" Anything would have helped! Now I have all three things sitting in my garage collecting dust with a pending order to another company for the tiny metal adaptors, making the delay another week and a half. This puts a sour taste in my mouth.
Product worked well with my already installed Yakima rails and the towers attached to bars that I use on another vehicle. Easily installed. Now I can switch the kayak carrying Yakima bar and tower rigs from one vehicle to the other with minimal effort.
It was what it was advertised and fit perfectly on my 2023 Ford Maverick

Fit good with the OE track on roof. I like the new covers they supplied with the mounts.

Ive had the rail system on my truck for about a year now and its been a tremendous help. It allows me to still use my bed and provides much needed extra storage space, mostly for all the dog items we carrycrates, gates, beds, food, etc. I like the fact the rail locks to the truck so I dont need to remove them at home or at our destination.
