Roof-mounted bike carrier holds almost any size bike and attaches to aero, round, square or factory crossbars - no adapter needed. Wheel-mount design ensures that your bikes are easy to load, and the bike rack is lockable with Same Key System cores.

If you have a roof rack, a bike and a destination, then all you need to get there is the FrontLoader. This premium wheel mount holds just about any bike and fits round, square and most aero and factory crossbars with universal mounting hardware - no annoying adapters required.
You can mount your bike on FrontLoader without removing the front wheel, cutting the loading time drastically compared with fork-mounted designs. The bike remains vertical as you roll it into place on FrontLoader's cradling wheel arms.
The front tire is cradled firmly but gently by a pair of adjustable arms, or wheel hoops. The larger, outermost arm features a sliding wheel grip that is labeled with wheel sizes and that adjusts for the perfect fit over your tire. The innermost, smaller, ratcheting wheel hoop is then pulled up into position to grab the back half of the front tire.
The cradling wheel arms are fine-tuned for the perfect fit around your tire with an adjustment knob, and they are easily released with a push of the red button. Cradling your bike by the tires, the FrontLoader avoids contact with the frame, so your paint job remains pristine. The carrier accommodates wheel sizes from 20" to 29" and easily accepts bikes with disc brakes, thru axles or non-traditional suspensions.
The fully adjustable, sliding wheel tray holds most bike sizes, from monster freeride bikes to girls' bikes with tassels on the handlebars. Rear wheels are secured in place on the tray with a ratcheting wheel strap. Ratchets are on both sides of the strap for easy loading and unloading from either side of your vehicle.
An integrated security cable that is compatible with 1 Same Key System (SKS) lock core (sold separately) keeps your bike safe on the rack. The cable deploys from the inner arm and stores inside it when not in use. The cable can also lock the carrier to your crossbars when no bike is mounted.
The upright arms of the FrontLoader fold flat when not in use, cutting wind resistance and allowing for easy storage.
The carrier installs on your crossbars with clamps, and the tension of the front clamp is controlled by an integrated handle. The bike rack locks to your roof-rack crossbars with an additional SKS core (sold separately).

Great to do business with, Got unexpected upgrade deliverery to Priority
Great price for a great product. I've not had a chance to actually use it, but appears well built.
Product came shipped on time and fit perfectly on my Jeep 2012 patriot with no additional hardware or tools necessary.
Will provide pictures soon and feedback after using it this weekend.
The Yakima Y02103 roof mounted bike rack is well-engineered to perform. It is easy to install, and easy to get a bike on and off the rack. I drive a 2008 Ford Escape and am 5' 6" tall, so I need to use a small step ladder which I keep in the back of my vehicle. My downhill mtb weighs about 40 pounds and feels very secure on the roof of my SUV. With the wind resistance there is a noticeable dip in fuel economy, however--the biggest downside about having a roof mounted bike rack.
Well built and solid. Installs in minutes. Bike does sway while driving but stays in the rack with no worries of it falling out. One complaint is that for the money you spend on this rack it should come with the locks instead of having to buy them separately.
If you are considering purchasing this rack, one thing to consider is the type of car you own verses the amount of energy you have after your ride. I own an SUV type vehicle and after an 80 mile ride I just don't have the energy to get my bike up on the roof of my car. It can be a challenge.
They all arrived on time and we installed them on our 2004 Chevy Suburban easily! Thank you!!!
Works exactly as advertised, I bought a roof rack from the same company with which it's compatible. Takes only a minute to attach/detach the bike rack and doesn't require any tools, which is great; also quick to mount/dismount the bike, again without tools and in an intuitive manner. Holds my bike really solidly, no swaying or anything, although mine is a light road bike I use mostly for commuting.
I imagine it would be hell to get the bike onto this thing in any other circumstance: I am 6'1", my car is a really short commuter sedan, and my bike is very light. Having to lift the bike over my head and steady it with one hand while strapping it down is already nontrivial, and if I were shorter and had an SUV or a heavier bike I don't know how it would get done.
For me, it opens up the opportunity to go biking on paved trails at local state parks and such, take my bike with me when I go visit family so I can ride around with my nieces, pick my bike up from work if I catch a flat and have to bus home, etc. Does exactly what you expect, conveniently and reliably - if you can get your bike onto it.
Got two to put on a Nissan Frontier camper shell using existing Thule square crossbars. Just finished my first trip today and it went great. Feels plenty sturdy and easy to set up. Bought them because they were slightly better value. However, I didn't realize the locks were sold seperately which sucks.
Some things to know if you're putting these on a midsize truck (not really specific to these carriers):
-Measured roughly 11'5" vertically from the bottom of tire to the top of my bike
-If you can't easily hold your bike over your head, you may have problems. I underestimated the reach i would need. As a 5'9 guy, i needed a 3-stair step stool to get to a comfortable height to load/unload. However, with this i'm able to do it in only 2ish minutes per bike.
works fine, but if you plan to LOCK you bike, be prepared to order locks for it separately for 50 bucks a set. I guess i am wondering who would NOT want to lock their bike. In my opinion a pretty crappy way to sell the item.
It's a fantastic roof rack, which I use above my truck bed. I recently bought a second one so I can take my road bike and gravel bike with me on my camping trips.
It is a little difficult to use it the first time.
One thing I would suggest is to have the back end of the carrier a little deeper so when placing the wheel on it at mounting time it would easily stay while placing the front wheel in its position.Other than that it is a really nice piece of design.
Perfect fit for yakima trailer, two boats + now 2 bikes. Easy install and solid fit
Very good product. It holds the bike securely on the roof without contacting the frame. It is easy to adjust from my road bike to my 29er mountain bike. Our drives are all relatively short, so I like that I do not need to remove the front wheel to lock in the bike. It's also nice that the SKS locking system allows me to use the same key for this rack that I use for my Yakima roof box and hitch rack. This is my first roof rack and I chose this route for a couple reasons. Some of the roads we travel to get to our trail heads are a bit rough and with a roof rack I don't have to worry about bottoming out a hitch rack hanging off the back of the vehicle. Also, it takes up less room in the garage. Our vehicle is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an additional 4 inches of ground clearance. That makes it a bit of a reach for my 5'4" wife, so we take our two-step along to help her.
This is my third time purchasing from etrailer, and each experience has been very good. They are a very customer service oriented company. I really appreciate all the additional information they provide on their products, especially all the videos they produce to aid in reviews, assembly, and use.
First, the folks at ETrailer are on their game! The product videos are great and customer service emailed me when they saw my roof racks were delivered! That’s awesome!!
I decided to go with the Yakima front loader wheel mount bike rack. I did not want to be bothered with removing the front tires every time I put my bikes on the roof. These were more than a snap to install. Do yourself a favor look up your vehicle and I can almost guarantee you there’s a video or five for it LOL. The material these are made out of feel good and strong like they will last a long time. Again they were super easy to set up the hardest part is actually getting the bikes up on the roof of my suburban as I am not that tall LOL. I highly recommend this if you’re going to be an occasional bike transporter.
I'm very happy with my bike rack. I worked for etrailer for 3 years during college so I knew of the hard work the company puts into provide great product testing, education on use and amazing fast shipping to its customers. I received my Bike rack within 2 days of ordering with standard shipping. I'm very happy with my purchase. I have used my rack once now in town and at highway speeds with no complications and this was on a really windy day!
I finally put my Yakima front loader bike rack to use after I purchased it like 2 weeks ago. I like it very much.. Easy to hook up and held the bike very securely. I’ll be getting another as soon as my wife is ready to ride again....
The product Yakima front loader is really sturdy, that I don't need to worry on my way to mountain biking.my MB looks pretty aggressive because I mounted the rack on top of the bed liner level.
Overall I am happy with these bike carriers. They mount to the racks over the bed of my Tundra TRD Pro. Installation is simple. I think they could be just a bit sturdier because there is just a bit of wobbling when driving on bumpy roads but I'm not too worried about them coming dislodged.
Take note that although they come with a cable lock to attach the bike to the carrier, the key is sold separately.
I'm happy with my purchase! It's easy to use, it feels very secure, and it has given me no issues in the year I've had it, including driving cross-country and in all weather conditions.
Mounted nicely on my Rhino racks and holds our nikes well. Easy to load and unload.
The rails on our 2012 Honda Odyssey are slightly curved but the bike rack seems very secure
The rails (installed by Honda) on our Honda Odyssey are slightly curved so the bikes are very slightly angled. But, the bike rack seems very secure. We are looking forward to taking our first trip pulling our popup camper and carrying the bikes on top of the van. I read the other reviews before buying this product and I am anticipating no problems. The sales rep from etrailer was very helpful and the racks arrived in just a couple of days and packed very securely.
A great product. shipped early and arrived in a short amount of time. the rack goes on a standard rack in minutes, really ! It is a reach to get to the top of the roof, but all roof racks are. holds the bike super secure and with wheel adjustments will fit all different bikes. Great Rack !

My first roof top bike rack, very convenient for me due to my back up camera using a tow hitch carrier. Easy to load and unload.

I ended up returning it due to getting Ebikes
Shipment was quick and service was great
Exceptional. I mounted up to FIVE of these frontloader racks on the Yakima OverHaul HD Truck Rack with HD bars. 1st off, the Overhaul rack was easy to mount and adjust. The Frontloader bike racks also easy to install and very adjustable - forward, backward to clear truck cabin - for each rack/bike. Some forward, some backward to sardine fit 5 various sized bikes - large child to adult. Once racks tightened down and bikes loaded, they took up to 3,500 + mile round trip journeys from Wisconsin to Arizona, and all manner of trips round the midwest. They held firm every. single. trip. Actually amazed that they held so steady flying down the Interstate at 90. Whoops, I meant 70. Also had the SKS locks so just one key for all bikes and racks. This configuration allowed me to use the hitch to tow, and the full bed with tonneau cover to load things securely. Would buy again. Highly recommend.
