Kwikee RV Steps with 1 Step for Easy Entry

Built for quick, confident entry, these Kwikee RV steps use a 1 step design that can serve as an exact replacement when you match the numbers on your original tag. Measure your mounting width and the drop you need so the step tucks up well and gives a comfortable rise. If your old unit predates 1999, plan on a full replacement instead of hunting individual parts, and have fresh mounting bolts ready for stubborn hardware.
If the step is from before 1999, replacement parts aren't available, so a full replacement is the option. If the motor only clicks on 12v and won't turn, that indicates a bad motor. For newer units, confirm the correct series before ordering parts to avoid mismatch issues.
Match the series from the tag on your old step for a direct swap. Measure your step width and the drop you need to confirm fit on your coach. Check your mounting bolt pattern before you order. If your dash has a step-extended warning, note that the micro-switch for that light wires separately into the coach.
That points to loose wiring between the door switch and the control module. Go over the wiring to find where the connection is coming and going. Check that the switch itself hasn't come loose. Securing the connections helps prevent the step from thinking the door is opening and closing.
Yes, when the series matches it can bolt right up and work like the original. Expect removal to take longer than install, especially if carriage bolts spin in place. Have replacement mounting bolts ready in case old ones break. Verify the plug connections match your coach harness.
