Hi Robert, I took a look at the dimensions for the RockyMounts Monorail Solo part #RKY10007 and based off its measurements it'll stick out too far when folded up to fit within the foot of space that you have between your truck and garage door.…
Hey Paula! The Hollywood Racks CrossTrack Bike Rack #HLY68RR weighs 41 lbs. This is designed to fit a 1-1/4" or 2" receiver and has a capacity of 66 lbs. A ramp is also available separately #HLY39RR. What kind of bike do you have?
Hey Connor! Firestone doesn't offer cradles for the Ride-Rite Air Springs #F83VV, and I wouldn't recommend adding aftermarket cradles since Firestone hasn't approved them for this kit. For your 2024 Toyota Tacoma, I recommend the Air Lift…
Hi John, That's a great question! The total tongue weight limit of the Roadmaster Dual Receiver Hitch Adapter part #RM48BQ is 400lbs. So, the collective tongue weight of both the bike rack and the trailer cannot exceed 400lbs. A better option…
Thanks for reaching out Ian. Rather than using a universal reducer sleeve like the Curt Reducer Sleeve - 2" Hitch to 1-1/4" Shank #C49WQ, I'd recommend the Kuat Bike Rack Shank Adapter #D101. This adapter is designed specifically for…
Hey Chris! The Hollywood Racks CrossTrack Bike Rack part #HLY98RR already comes with a hitch lock so no need to get one separately! There is also an integrated cable lock to wrap around your bikes as well. The CrossTrack is expandable so that you can…
Hey Robert! For a hitch I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver #C94WR. This is a Class 3 hitch with a 2" receiver and a bolt-on installation. The Trailer Mate #TMT56FR you looked at is also made by Curt, and isn't quite as robust. This…
Hi Zachary, I'm afraid there aren't any 2" hitch receivers on the market for the 2021 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. Only 1 1/4" Class I hitches like the Curt Trailer Hitch part #C11567, this is largely due to the tow capacity of the…
Hey Dan, The best bike rack for carrying 2 bikes plus the occasional third is the Thule Outpace #TH59SA There are plenty of great choices for bringing your bikes to the trail, but when it comes to durability, ease of use, and cost effectiveness this…
Hey Steve! Glad to hear Beaufort Trailer took good care of you with the hitch install. The Benton Shifts&Grins Bike Rack #B54FR is a great choice for your Trek hybrid bikes. It is a nice, solid platform rack with a 55 lb per bike capacity and…
Hi John, I totally understand. The Thule T2 Pro XTR part #TH69TX is a fantastic rack, but at 96 pounds it's definitely a workout every time you put it on or take it off the vehicle. If your main goal is to cut as much weight as possible, the…
Welcome back Raymond. I can confirm that the Dellmead Thomas Payne RV Jackknife Sofa item #TP44AR and the Signature Dinette Cushion item #TP29AR are a commercial color match. They're made out of the exact same woven polyester fabric with dark…

Hitch Bike Racks with wheel mount for everyday hauling
Hitch bike racks with wheel mount are a smart choice when your bikes don't have fenders. For SUVs with a rear spare or trucks with a tailgate, look for tilt and enough distance from the hitch pin to the rack to clear the tire or open the gate. To cut rattle, choose an anti-wobble/locking pin, and if the rack blocks your plate or tail lights, add small auxiliary lights to a 4-pin harness.
They can be, if the rack's per-bike rating covers a 54+ lbs e-mtb and it locks down tight at the receiver. A bolt that pins it to the receiver can lock it down so there is zero movement/rattle. On long drives and in 4 bike mode, watch for bounce and make sure the tilt mechanism is fully engaged. Consider extra support if the tilt latch makes you nervous.
Check the distance from the hitch hole to the front edge of the rack; a longer measurement helps clear a rear spare tire. With a rear spare, we've seen folding up still work when that distance was long enough, and a tilt-down can let a rear hatch swing open. If dropping a tailgate, you may need to remove the front bike and its cradles to avoid contact.
Large tires can reduce tail light visibility. Add auxiliary LED lights that plug into a 4-pin and attach to the rack with double sided tape and/or cable ties. You can also use the cables ties to route the 4-way wiring along the rack to prevent it from dragging or getting caught up in the bikes as you are loading and unloading your bikes.
Usually no. The wheel hook conflicts with fenders. If you don't have fenders, you can definitely use a wheel-mount. If you do have fenders, look for a design that uses padded clamps to hold it by the seat post or frame, which accommodates both the frame and the fenders. A standard frame mount may need an adapter depending on the frame style.
