EcoHitch Hidden Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
I didn't realize this was a Torklift product. I like their products very much. Is TL listening? I have a few suggestions to make a great product better. The width is a bit narrow. While too narrow is better than too wide, I would suggest including some shims. The instructions were incomplete. After cutting the bumper insert as described, the bumper could not be installed. More plastic cutting was needed to get the bumper in place. A couple black plastic push buttons might also be included to fill the very visible holes left in the front of the bumper insert. Luckily, I had some. I like the higher mounting position and better look to this hitch. The main use will be to haul a generator on a Torklift Lock and Load Sidekick while camping. A Dremel with a cutting wheel was very handy to have for cutting the plastic.
Kit needs shims to properly fit between the chassis. I used 2 thick 1/2” washers per bolt (4 bolts). It may be been able to use even 1 more thinner washer per bolt but I did not have any on hand. That would have made it a very tight fit but 2 thick washers per bolt will work. Because I had to add shims I needed 4 more 2” long 1/2” bolts to complete the job. The way it relocates the transmission cooler on the Diesel engine is fair, the transmission lines will rub on the bracket if you do not slip a piece of 1/2” heater hose over the cooler lines. Fitament of license plate holder is fair. May cause a rattle noise over bumps (I have not driven it yet). There was also a lot of hard ware missing (all 6 1/2” nuts plus some washers). The bag was open, looked like someone dug in there on purpose to use them for another order. I also installed this 100% alone. It is doable but the bumper takes a little time re aligning. All that being said, the hitch seems well built. Hope to use it for years to come.

Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
Needed a front receiver to put a bike rack on my 2015 Ford F-350 (2WD) for use with my slide-in camper. Price on the details page I was viewing changed overnight when I went to place my order, but etrailer honored the earlier price. Order was placed 6/12 with a 3-5 days estimated delivery. It arrived on 6/14. Very fast service & shipping! Installation took me about 3 hours, working alone & without power tools and a pause to re-view the installation video. My truck did not have the brackets referenced for possible removal. Would be nice if video showed how one installs the front bolts with the limited accessibility between frame and bumper that I had in to 2015 F-350, with the installed tow hooks. Front left nut had limited clearance between frame, which affected my ability to use a socket and torque wrench. Finished installation provides about 9" ground clearance and requires about 3" hitch length to clear the bumper and grill. Otherwise, installation was simple, pretty much as described in the 2012 Ford video.
Yes the hitch works perfectly for my needs of carrying our bikes when we travel with our camper.
This review is for my 2015 F350 4x4 Platinum. Thanks etrailer from start to finish. Found my front hitch easy, Arrived on third day. The box was torn open from shipping, however thanks etrailer for the protective end cover and wrapping hardware with heavy tape. No scratches or missing parts (yay) installed by myself with a pump jack. Perfect fit as if Ford made it. Thanks for the follow up on day it was delivered thanks George (nice touch) This was my first buy from e-trailer and I'm very satisfied. I wanted an easy website to find and feel confident the part needed was the exact fit for my truck, name brand part, free shipping, and a decent price with excellent customer service. Found it!!!
No problems at all, Use often

Kudos to E-Trailer for fast delivery. Due to the weight the box was beat up pretty bad, but no damage to the hitch. Quality hardware included as well as fish wires to get the hidden bolts into place. The measurements for cutting the slot in the air dam were wrong as far as I was concerned. The instructions said to cut 4 inches up and 3 1/2 inches wide. As you can see by the pictures, 4 inches up is too much. The top should be cut right where the curve at the top of the air dam cross feature is. I did install this by myself. A helper would have been a good idea. If you choose to install this solo, get the supplied bolts that hang down vertical started loosely first to carry the weight of the hitch. Then you can maneuver the hitch to line up the holes for the side bolts. Once everything is tight the hitch is very solid and except for my boo-boo with cutting the air dam, is almost invisible.
This front hitch was put on new 2018 ford F350 dsl 4x4, shortbed, as I am getting set for a road trip & wanted more storage space by adding the front hitch. It went on as it was supposed to go. It was delivered w/in a couple of days of ordering it...

Great product, easy solo install about 3 hrs w/ 'piddle time'. Best part I did not have to remove my bumper. Raised hitch up into place w/ 2 floor jacks.
Easy to install, took me about 45 minutes. Highly recommended if your wanting a front hitch.

Up front, I rarely take time to do reviews. I don't think that's my job as a consumer. However, in the spirit of assisting fellow consumers, when a product is particularly good, or bad, and, likewise, service is particularly good or bad, I'm willing to take time to help others. With that, this was a positive experience. This receiver is exactly as advertized. Good quality and attention to detail. Yes, it's tricky to get the nuts started on the new bolts, but that's due to space limitations of a truck (2003, F350) not designed for a front end receiver. Considering, Drawtite did as well as possible with the design of this receiver. As always, etrailer is a pleasure to deal with...Thanks Angela W!
Great hitch. The video helped with installing it. Fit perfect on my 2002 F-350.

Great value and well built. Easy to install, and a great solution for a front recovery point.
Hi George, I received your email and didn't realize it had been a year already. I'm afraid I don't have anything to say that you want to hear but I will tell you anyway. I spent about a week researching this hitch and read numerous reviews about it and how easy it is to install with installation times of 30 minutes to an hour, so finally I bought one. I read the instructions when I got it, looked simple enough. I've been building cars and motorcycles most of my life, a few hot rods and drag raced Harley's for 8 years, and I had to fabricate a lot of parts on the drag bike splus I've been a CNC Machinist for 30 years, and having just retired this project was on my list of things to do NOW! Well its been a year and the hitch is now sitting in the corner of my dining room. Either I have a Jeep Cherokee that is an odd ball or its just my crappy luck. In the directions it says to use the fishwire for putting in cm-sp1 and the bolt. I can supply pictures if you want but there is no access hole anywhere near big enough to get the sp1 spacer in the frame and the end of the frame isn't open either as the directions suggest. Apparently its either butcher the frame with a hole big enough to these spacers in, which I really don't want to do, or try to sell the hitch for whatever I can get and say the hell with it, except I really need that front hitch. I realize most people are very happy with your product, but I'm sorry to say I'm not at all. You asked!

I installed this on my 2004 F350 super duty. The install was straight forward and for the most part easy. I did have a hard time getting the nuts on the top bolts even with the handles on them just from lack of space, but got them on there and it looks clean.
Great receiver. Didn't actually fit my truck's front bumper, but I was able to make some spacers to get it mounted. Works great for the mounting spot for a rig that holds my kayak on top of the truck.

This fit perfect and e-trailer’s video was easy to follow for the install. Did it myself in a couple hours. Just used a block of wood to help hold up the center section when I was installing it. Installed in the higher position so had to cut a hole in the plastic trim. 2011 f350 crew cab 4x4.
Hitch delivered on time and was easy to assemble and install. I have used it several times and works fine. You might need a hitch cover because on my f350 it makes a whistle noise if reciever hole is not covered.

Great service from etrailer, not so good manufacturing by Curt. The following advise is for a 2007 Honda Ridgeline. I purchased this hitch in order to push my 21 foot travel trailer into a tight parking area at the side of my house where reversing it in with the tow vehicle is difficult. Be aware that the mounting holes on this hitch do not quite match, they are slightly off, enough to make mounting a problem that may lead to damaged bolts or even cross threaded bolts. Do yourself a favor and get a 1/4" round file, then file the two elongated holes on the center flange towards the forward edge and away from the hitch receiver to make them longer. Then file the two mounting holes on each of the outer flanges inwards toward the center or hitch receiver tube and elongate them. Dry fit the hitch making sure the bolts go into the threads easily, they are fine pitch and are easily cross threaded and damaged, make sure they ALL go into the chassis nuts without trouble because in the final assembly you will also be dealing with the splash guard, which will be hampering your final assembly.
We live just south of Buffalo and Put this on our '11 Honda Ridgeline with a snowsport plow and a week later it snowed, and snowed and snowed... 5 feet in 24 hours and it's still snowing.... It's not good.... It's AWESOME! Not one driveway or even our street is clear... Except ours. It was easy to put together , easy to install and works exactly like it's advertised! It's November and it paid for itself already. Communication with etrailer was exceptional. We could not be happier with the whole setup.

I have had the front receiver hitch installed on my 1996 Suburban for about a year now. I have a 12000 lb winch installed using that receiver hitch. I have gotten stuck twice and had to use the winch to extract the truck. Very glad that I have the front receiver hitch as it made putting on the winch very easy. Also useful for mounting a receiver mount bicycle rack to the front as well.
Great! Still there and still very useful.
The hitch is well built but simply too low (when mounted) to be of much practical use. Ideally the receiver needs to be at the same level as the bumper.

Perfect fit on our 2008 f350. Installation took less than an hour with two people. As usual good shopping experience with etrailer.
After a year the hitch has been very useful in unanticipated ways. Attaching a cargo rack nc we have a kayak rack attached to rear hitch. Hitch still looks new and no rust after first winter. Recommend product and etrailer.com.
Good hitch for the price, I use it for a front cargo carrier for surf fishing, but I'm confident I could pull stuff with it. This fits my 2008 F350. Install wasn't too bad but this thing is heavy, easier with two people.

I chose Draw-tite because they are built very well and this one is no different. The welds are done well and I have no fear that this product will serve me well. The install wasnt to bad for a DIY type like me and the fit was excellent, only took a few hours. Knowing that I can now be pulled out of a bad situation or pull someone else out is comforting with the help of a hitch mounted winch. The Price was right and etrailer shipped it out fast although packing could use a smaller box . Oh yeah, UPS sure tested the toughness of this receiver ! . Great product and great service from etrailer
Excellent quality, good fit, was very easy to install and only the two holes to drill into the Jeep frame.

Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
This thing sits so unbelievably low. I can’t believe Curt’s R&D team haven’t come up with a better solution.. My install is on a 2017 F150 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab with a 5.5’ bed. The hitch is obviously made to go around a different style bracket than the one mine uses. After going over my install carefully to make sure everything would clear, I ended up removing the hitch and modifying it to raise it significantly. I lowered the front bolt holes by an inch and a half; and the rear bolt holes by an inch and a quarter. I cut an inch and a half off of both front tabs so I could lift the hitch high enough to use my new holes. Now the hitch comes out at the very top of the air dam. Luckily I never cut it after my initial installation! Very happy with how it turned out, but quite disappointed in Curt. They need to narrow down which F150’s this hitch is appropriate for and which ones it’s not. I do not believe this hitch is appropriate for my truck. Yes, it bolts up.. but the location is far too low to be practical. It’s bad enough the air dam is so low that it sometimes scrapes curbs when I park close.. Can’t imagine what the jolt would feel like every time you parked against a curb and ran the front hitch into it!
I installed this so I could use my trailer hitch winch mount on front or back and not have it installed all the time. I've use it a couple of times off the front end and it worked great. Fairly priced product. It is a very snug fit, as I had the underside of my truck sprayed with industrial black paint to prevent corrosion and rust, so that might be part of it. If you want an affordable front end 2 inch receiver, this is a good way to go. I would recommend.
Working out great!

I got the hitch for a 2004 dodge 2500. I put it on the front of the truck to haul a motorcycle. It works great and all you can see is the hitch opening. Works great.
Prettt easy to install after watching a you tube video on it. Immediately hooked my winch up to it and pulled an 8k pound rock with it. Receiver hitch held up perfect.
Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Hi there Ford owners, and your 2016 Ford F350 super duty. We're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, draw tights front hitch. It will stick down below the bottom edge of your front bumper, and provide you with a two inch by two inch receiver, which will work with a lot of different accessories. The applications for this is really up to you. There's a lot of different things that you could potentially use this for, for various scenarios. I know one of the most common things people use this for is for being able to park a trailer in a very tight location, because if you hook your ball Mount up at the back of your truck, when you have your steer wheels here at the front of the vehicle, you kind of lose some of the fidelity on how much you can angle the trailer in a very small amount of movement.
It has worked fine. I would like to add that only half the duplex receptacle of my Honda is covered by the locking mechanism, leaving the other half available for use.
