Weight Distribution Diagram

Create a more stable ride for your tow vehicle and trailer with a weight distribution hitch. Adding spring bars to your towing system applies leverage, which transfers the load that is pushing down on the rear of your vehicle to all the axles on both your tow vehicle and your trailer, resulting in an even distribution of weight throughout. The result is a smooth, level ride, as well as the ability to tow the maximum capacity of your hitch.

Selecting a Weight Distribution System

The tongue weight rating is the most important factor in determining which size weight distribution system you should use. If the bars of the system you choose are rated too high for your setup, they will create a rigid ride, which can result in a bouncing trailer. If, on the other hand, the bars are not rated high enough, the system will be unable to properly distribute the weight, rendering it virtually useless.

To determine the proper weight rating for a weight distribution system, you must first determine your trailer's tongue weight. Then add to that the weight of the cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle. These two measurements make up the tongue weight rating for a weight distribution system.

Integrated Active Sway Control

The TruTrack weight distribution system works to stop trailer sway before it begins. This is achieved primarily thanks to the specially designed system head.

TruTrack Spring-Loaded Ball Bearings in Detents

On top of the trunnions, there are spring-loaded ball bearings that rest in detents built into the underside of the head. As you travel down the road normally, these ball bearings help to keep the trailer in a straight line by applying pressure inside these detents.

TruTrack Spring-Loaded Ball Bearings out of Detents

When sway occurs, the trunnions move inside the head, causing the ball bearings to come out of these detents. When this happens, the ball bearings ride along internal grooves in the head as they work to return to the detents to snap the trunnion back in place. This action effectively returns your trailer to center.

TruTrack Spring Bar Bracket

Additional sway control is created by the spring bar brackets. Most traditional weight distribution systems have spring bars that are suspended by chains. Although this ensures that the system is not so rigid as to create bounce in the trailer, it also permits a good deal of side-to-side play in the system. Allowing the spring bars to hang freely also minimizes the tension described earlier. This limits your system's ability to hold your trailer in line behind your tow vehicle.

Not only do the brackets on the TruTrack work to constantly hold your trailer in line, but they also supply friction to force it back into place should any sway occur. The concept is similar to the way in which an add-on friction sway control device functions. When each spring bar moves forward or backward, or side to side, it rubs along the bracket, creating friction. The resistance created by this action limits the movement of the spring bar, thus preventing further side-to-side movement of the trailer.

Forged Steel Spring Bars

The TruTrack's spring bars are made from forged steel, giving them a distinct advantage over typical cast steel bars. Forging is a process where thermal and mechanical energy are applied to the steel, resulting in a finished product that is more resilient to impacts and is stronger in terms of shear strength. Simply put, the TruTrack's spring bars do a superior job of helping to hold your trailer in line because of their added strength and durability.

Simple Spring Bar Setup

TruTrack Spring Bar Install

The support brackets of the TruTrack easily clamp onto your trailer frame to provide the attachment points for the weight distribution spring bars. To position the spring bars on the brackets during hookup, simply use the included snap-up lever to lift each bar onto an L-shaped bracket. Then secure the bars in place with the included L-pins and clips.

Video Transcript for Curt Weight Distribution C17501 Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Curt TruTrack weight distribution system with integrated sway control. This unit does allow backing up and it's electric brake and surge brake compatible. Now this weight distribution system's going to evenly distribute weight over the axles of your tow vehicle and trailer for improved stability and control, which is going to create a more level ride for both the tow vehicle and your trailer. Like I mentioned before it does feature integrated active sway control, that's going to limit the side to side movement of your trailer. Here at the head assembly we're looking at spring loaded ball bearings in the system head. These are going to rest and detents, what that does is it applies constant pressure, which is going to help the trailer stay centered at all times.

That's on both sides, that's a really nice design. For instance if you we're to try to push these bars closer together, you can actually feel that spring effect and it pushes them back out. That's always going to fight to keep the trailer in line, which is going to help prevent sway. The brackets are going to keep the spring bars in place for a rigid system that holds your trailer in line. It's going to feature steel on steel friction, which is going to help correct any sway that may occur. Now the spring bars are going to work with the brackets to transfer tongue weight evenly to the tow vehicle.

The spring bars are constructed of a forged steel construction. They secure in the system head with easy to use snap pins. The unit's also going to feature a snap up handle. This allows you to get the proper leverage needed to actually get the bars in place on the brackets. These are no drill clamp on brackets. They mount directly to your trailer frame.

Here at the head assembly, when you need to get that desired tilt or that angle that you need for your application, you can do that using the two included adjustment rods. You'll use one or the other. It's going to come with a short and a long adjustment rod to get the angle you need. The short rod can be used with the included washers. The unit's also going to feature a set bolt at the bottom of the head assembly that you can tighten to kind of secure that angle or tilt in place.

Located at the back of the sleeve here, I'm calling this portion a sleeve, that's where the bar slides into. At the back of that is a grease zerk. That's going to be one grease zerk located on each side. The grease zerks at the head assembly make for easy maintenance. You can just attach a grease gun on there, pump the grease in that you need when you're ready to maintenance the system. We're looking at a steel construction. Everything is going to have a really nice black powder coated finish. It's very strong and durable. It's also highly resistant to rust and corrosion. The other thing I want to mention is that the head assembly does come with a pre-installed 2 and 5/16 inch hitch ball. The maximum tongue weight capacity for this unit is 1,500 pounds. The maximum gross towing weight is 15,000 pounds. It does come with the shank that goes inside the receiver tube of your hitch. It's going to come with a hitch pin and clip to get it secured in your hitch. It is designed for a 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receiver that is rated for use with weight distribution systems. The sway control bracket positioning needs to be about 4 inches from the end of the spring bar. What I like is here on the sticker it's got a line there that says 4 inches. It has that built in indicator. That just makes for easy positioning and it makes positioning quick and easy. Now the adjustable frame brackets, they're multi hole design, hardware's included. All the necessary hardware you need to get it installed is included. These are adjustable frame brackets that fit trailer frames up to 6 inches tall by 4 inches wide. You can use the shank in the rise or drop position. If you have it in the drop position and the system head at the lowest setting, it's going to give a maximum drop of about a half of an inch. That's measured from the inside top edge of the receiver tube of your hitch to the top of the ball platform. If you have it in the rise position, with the head assembly at the highest setting, it's going to give you a maximum rise of 6 inches doing those same measurements. I did those measurements with the system head as square as possible with the shank. Now the shank does feature 6 adjustment holes. Those are going to be separated on center by an inch and a quarter. That's going to do it for today's look at the Curt TruTrack weight distribution system with integrated sway control.

I bought the C17501 weight distribution hitch and due to others saying they had holes in their boxes I inspected mine carefully and took pictures before opening. The box mine came in seemed surprisingly durable, but there was a hole in the box on one end. After prying open the box and inspecting everything, I realized that although all the nuts and bolts were there, there were no spring bars in the box! My guess is that someone stole them....I find a 3 foot pole falling out of the box a little hard to imagine unnoticed by anybody. I called etrailer and they sent me a form to email them pictures and the next day the spring bars were shipped out! etrailer rocks at service! I now have all the parts and am looking forward to setting this bad boy up and towing my trailer. I'll try and come back and edit after I actually use the product. So far this things is looking nice though. 459085

I did some extensive research & I believe that this product was a great value for what it was capable to do for me. I received the Curt TruTrack on time. The installation was simple to follow. e-trailer has good how-to videos as well as Curt's site. When I pulled my 1st load with the Curt using my 2014 Tundra the ride was much smoother & zero sway. The weight distribution was incredible! Before installation I checked the ride height on front & rear. Without the Curt installed my Tundra did have 3" more sag in the rear. With the Curt system installed now I only have 1" sag in the rear. This was a quick fix to evenly distributing the weight & stability towing 11,500lb GCW total. 334471

It was great working with etrailer. Ordering the Curt 17501 weight distribution hitch was very straight forward. Was very happy with the price but I ran across another company advertising the same hitch $40 cheaper. etrailer immediately refunded the advertised 110% difference and put $45 back on my card. Also, when they found out I was needing to get the hitch by a certain day they made sure it was shipped promptly. The hitch arrived right on time and was very well made. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. 411678

Used my weight distribution w/sway control about 10 times last year. I pull a 36' camper travel trailer thats 12,500 # and 1,300 # tongue weight with no problems. Love that there is less to hook up with the built in sway control. Very heavy application. Built strong as exspected from Curt. Like to say i would buy another but won't need to because this is built to last for sure. Very Happy Camper !! 487559

Super heavy duty construction and pretty darn heavy as well (114lb shipping weight) I've seen photos of broken units from other companies and looking at this thing I doubt that will ever be a problem with this unit. Have put many miles on this type in the past and have been very pleased with performance. 388028

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

I bought and installed this hitch so my brother could pull my trailer across country. Installation was the Curt Tru track C17500 WDS on my 2017 Coachman Catalina Legacy Edition travel trailer, being pulled with a Ford F-150. This is the first experience I've had with installing and using a WDS. Instructions were clear and simple to follow, and after about 3 hours and going through various hitch tilt settings to get enough weight on the front axle, we were ready to go. I would have given a higher rating, but I did encounter a problem with the A-frame placement on the trailer tongue. With my tongue, it was impossible to place the A-frames at the required 4" from the end of the spring bar due to the cross support angle iron that holds my battery. At first, I tried placing the A-frames behind the angle iron, but that put them at only 3" from end of spring bar, causing the spring bar to slip out of the L-bracket on a tight turn. I ended up having to cut part of the angle iron away in order to move the A-frames far enough forward to keep this from happening. I'm just curious if others have had this same problem and if etrailer and/or Curt are aware of this potential issue, or if possibly I was sent the wrong hitch for this particular trailer. Seems to me that the spring bars should be a couple inches longer for this particular setup, to keep this from being an issue. We were on a tight schedule, so I didn't have time to contact customer service to help resolve this matter...so I just went ahead and modified the trailer as needed. Other than that, the system seems like it is going to work just fine... my brother left out today hauling the trailer from GA to AZ. We'll see how it goes. 486868

Comments

Weight distribution systems are only specific to the tongue weight of a trailer, not to the design or the trailer make and model. Unfortunately, the sheer numbers of trailer makes and models would make it impossible to fit guide them correctly to provide fit information for specific trailers.

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

I bought this to replace an older style equalizer hitch (with the chain bars) and needed to add anti sway, which my old hitch did not have. Adding an anti sway bar to the old hitch would have cost a couple hundred $$ with welding and ball installation, so I opted to just start over. My application is a 24' (box length) 10000GVW toy hauler that was wagging from time to time. I have many years of towing experience with pull behinds and fifth wheels so I knew what I was looking for while shopping. I have had Curt hitches before and know that they are a quality product. The Equal-i-zer hitch was considered but it was more in cost. In the end, the mechanics of the Curt hitch were superior to the Equal-i-zer for less money. Installing the hitch was easy and took less than 2 hours. One adjustment was necessary to get the proper tension on the bars and adjust them to no more than 4" hangover on the bar tray, as well as level towing with the equalizer factor. There is no option but to get it installed correctly, so if you don't have any or limited experience with installing hitches, get help from a friend who has or get professional help. You don't want your camper flailing down the road or in the ditch because of improper hitch installation. First trip out on winding mountain roads with very windy conditions was excellent...no more wagging trailer...very impressed Backing the trailer in the campsite with relatively tight jack-knife potential angles was not a problem with no issues with the bars. I watched closely with these tight angles to make sure no problems were awaiting me, and no problems at all. Instructions recommend removing the bars with tight turning angles and that would be a good idea if the angles were were getting to extreme. So, I highly recommend this hitch for load equalization and anti sway. The Good: Easy to install Performs as expected The Bad: No torque specifications that I found for the bolts, so I just rompt on it with a breakover bar to get it tight. Installations instructions were about a C+ Hitch head itself is VERY heavy so be prepared to grunt and swear as you remove or reinstall it from your truck hitch. 436382

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

First: I attest under penalty of RV hell that this is not a paid endorsement of either the product or etrailer...lol Word to the wise. Before we installed this product, we installed an electric tongue jack and a cordless impact drill for $70 from Harbor Freight. Both of these helped the quality and efficiency of the install of this system...it would have been a lot more work cranking up and down on a manual jack and then also cranking up and down to fine tune the weight distribution system. Now, on to the review: This product was easy to install and has almost totally negated the visible swag on the rear suspension of our tow vehicle. I was anticipating having to purchase E-rated tires and air bag suspension for a 1/2 ton pickup. This equalizer works well enough that the tow vehicle looks fine. I realize this is the intent of the product...but have to say that it probably saved over $1000 in further modifications. I must also really brag on your installation video. We were not certain about installing it ourselves...but with the video combined with the great instructions, it was easier than we ever thought would be possible(this also saved us at least $150 on installation costs for what would have been an inferior product). I considered putting the pics of the trailer hooked up without the system, but am afraid I would be laughed off the internet for what could have passed for an episode of "Sanford and Son". Trust me, it made a big difference. I'm inspired enough from this install to try and install a brake system for the same trailer. Looks to be a great video for it as well. We purchased it from etrailer and combined it with a wiring harness to fit my exact make/model of vehicle and I'm hoping it will be as good of an experience as the sway control system. Great job etrailer and kudos to your video crew(s)! 213179

Comments

Product is still working great. In fact, we moved up to a one ton vehicle and had to transfer it. Obviously the height is different, so we used the same video for the install to adjust it to the new vehicle. Works great!

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

This is the first time I have ever done any review about anything but I felt compelled to let everyone know about etrailer.com. First thing was the easy web site navigation and the help looking at my towing needs. Im a first time travel trailer owner. After finding my proper hitch and ordering it, it arrived 3 days later from UPS but the package was broken open and 3 parts were missing. I called etrailer.com and explained the problem and let them know I had a group camping trip planned in 7 days. They sprang into action and started the claim with UPS. I watched the tracking on line through their web site but it never left e trailer so I called on Monday and talked with another customer rep and explained my situation about leaving on Wed. with the group. She looked into it and said it was e trailers fault that somehow it didn't get shipped but she would get it out ASAP. This was Monday around 3 pm. By 8 pm I received an e-mail with a order number saying it was being shipped next day so I would have time to install it and make the trip on Wed. I have never been so impressed with a companies customer service in my life. A big THANK YOU to Chelsey, George and Im sorry I don't remember the last gals name but you did give me your desk phone number and said to call direct to your desk if I had any more problems. As for the product I haven't used it yet but its built with solid steel and I cant imagine it not working but if it doesn't I know e trailer will take care of me. Thank you again etrailer.com !!! 421445

Etrailer does it again. Best price on the Internet and shipped in 2 business days. The curt hitch system was as good as promised and the videos included on the product page was a big help. Have a hand truck or a friend ready when deliveried this thing is a handful to move. Will buy from etrailer and curt again. 207861

Thanks for reaching out to me. I have used the weight distribution hitch many times over the last year. One thing i was surprised with is the lake of durability in the paint on the load arms. I re-read the instructions and it says they need to be well greased but thats not easiest things to do with exposed metal components nor is it fun to take grease covered load bars off once I reach camp. Having that been said the greasing i think is not necessarily a Curt problem but something I noticed. Overall I think it was well worth the money and would buy again in a second. Thanks again for reaching out to me.

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

This isn't necessarily a review of the product, more of etrailer.com poor packaging/shipping. Anyhow, it looked the the item was returned but there were a bunch of 6- inch holes in the box when it was delivered. etrailer had placed my brake controller and harness in the box with the TruTrack and the harness must have fallen out because it never made it here. Neither did one of the brackets to connect the bars to my trailer. Of course I didn't realize this until I was picking up my trailer. So my choice was to buy a whole new system from the Trailer dealer or scavenge mismatched parts from their garage. I scavenged and found a random set that work for weight distributing but not so much for sway control because there is too much space for the bars to provide tension. The product seems great but the etrailer experience is a fail due to their poor shipping and handling. 407082

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

WOW is all I can say. I have a 2017 Ram 2500 pulling a 31ft bump pull Hideout travel trailer. I had the old style WD hitch that use the chains. Last weekend we had 20-40 mph winds coming home from camping. I could not get over 45mph with fear of losing the trailer and my truck. I had done a lot of research on C17500. All the reviews were great. So then it came down to who I was going to buy it from. etrailer was the last place I had found who sold them and I could not believe the price. It was cheaper then anyone I could find. I order it on Monday night and it was at my door Friday morning. I put it on today Sunday the 18th of February. It took me about a hour from start to finish. I got it to less then 1/2 in of sag on the back and about 1/4 of rise on the front. Now was the moment of truth. Taking back to it storage home during the week. I took the hwy to get a idea of how well it worked. Almost immediately I could tell it was everything and MORE then I hoped. 75mph later and not a wiggle or movement of my truck or trailer. Passing 18 wheelers with out a worry in the world. I was TOTALLY amazed how well it worked. If you are looking for a Sway control WD Hitch look no further. Don’t waste your time or money on anything else. You will not regret it. 476910

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

I like this little weight distribution system. I bought it mostly for the anti-sway features but the weight distribution system works well. I pull a 7 x 14 enclosed tandem axle trailer loaded with two motorcycles, all my camping gear, bicycles, motorcycle clothing, tools, canoe, motor etc. I pulled the load from Utah to Montana and back and didn't even know the trailer was back there. I'm very pleased and the price was $500 less than a local distributor wanted for a similar system. As always, etrailer service was outstanding. I'll try to post photos later. 216240

Im still very pleased. I did find a way to dent my trailer by turning too tight but thats not the fault of the equipment. Everything Ive purchased from E trailer has worked perfectly.

I've owned this weight distribution hitch for a year now. Hauling travel trailers and 5th wheels professionally, I needed a unit that was dependable and one that would hold up to the rigorous demands of a professional hauler. Although the shipping box took a real beating during transit, miraculously everything was there. I would highly recommend this unit to all who pull a travel trailer to their vacation destinations. This unit will give you a stress free experience with no white knuckles while passing the big rigs on the highway. The trailer will follow a straight, true track behind you. Enjoy your driving experience. 312360

eTrailer Order Processing - excellent! Very capable staff. Curt Product - rugged looking, good instructions, but they need some supervision in the powder coating dep't, acts more like spray lacquer than powder. Finish was chipping off spring bars when I removed them from the carton; after 2-3 test fits, finish was flaking off the the bars and blistering off the tow head after height adjustments from theguide washer pressure. I realize this won't affect product performance, but a disappointment. Welds look great. 206940

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

Ordered online and then made a second order. Called first thing in a.m. to have orders combined in order to save on shipping. Customer service was excellent. 3 to 5 Day Shipping arrived in 4 business days. Curt Tru Track works great. I cant believe the difference in towing. Smooth and straight as an arrow! The product was easy to put together and instructions were simple. I started putting it on at dusk and finished by the light of streetlight with no big issues. Easy to adjust! I installed this unit after talking to some professionals. They said going up on tongue weight is not a big issue. The Tru Track is rated for 1000lb GTW. My application is on Jeep Grand Cherokee with 500 lb tongue weight capacity and 5000lb Gross Tow Capacity. Havent tried all competitor brands but very happy with the product! 383101

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

I use this WDS to pull a Surveyor 32RLTS with a 2014 Ram 1500, HEMI with 3.92. The TT is 7800lbs, and It feels great with no sway even with the trailer being 36 feet long. I really enjoy the ability to be able to adjust the hitch head unit to level out the truck and trailer. It took me 20 minutes for the initial installation and another 15 minutes to get everything leveled. Make sure you have a 1" 1/16 socket and 1"1/18 wrench to make the process easier. I'm glad I was able to research WDS before I purchased my TT. If I would have purchase the WDS at the RV dealership, I would have paid 200 dollars more for the same of most likely lower quality. Another great product provided by etrailer at a great price. I placed my order with short notice and to my surprise we received it two days later ready for a 600 mile trip. As always, I make my purchases last minute, but once again etrailer and UPS always bail me out and my me look like a hero.! 367322

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

Product arrived in one piece. Appears to be sturdy as it is heavy. Instructions are straight forward, easy to install. Curt puts a label on the bar ends for making the necessary mark on the frame (my mark placed the brackets at the battery box, so I had to install them inside if that, I hope there are no issues due to that). The fit and finish of the components appear top-notch. You’ll need deep sockets for the brackets (3/4”), 1 1/8” and 1 1/16” for the other bolts, and a 200 ft/lb torque wrench. Grease the zerks and ball bearings and your done. Just beware of he ball bearings, as they will snap the bars into their correct positions; so hold on to them while you positions the bars where you want them or they will get out of your grip. I haven’t used it yet as my trailer was just delivered. My rig is 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 CTD and 2019 Open Range 3310BH TT. I’ll have to update after use. 542057

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

I have had this weight distribution setup on my 2005 Silverado 2500HD and 19 foot toy hauler for a year. Trailer wait loaded is about 7,000lbs. This product has been amazing and works every time. Once the setup of height and a ball angle were done the install/removal is easy. Backing up (even at pretty serious angles) has never been a problem but I now remove the bars before I backup whenever possible just to be safe. The ball mount is very heavy duty and came preassembled but has required grease (zerk fittings). The sway control in heavy winds has been amazing also. I highly recommend it. **Tip - install the bars while you have the trailer on the tongue jack right after you secure the ball and the bars go on without the tool or any pressure. Then when you lower the tongue jack and put the weigh/squat on the truck the bars will become loaded as they level out** 355795

Two years of regular use. I have used this hitch setup with three different trucks and it has worked perfectly in every configuration. Toy hauler loaded with Polaris RZR and truck bed full of firewood. Steady as a rock with now swaying.

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

I purchased this a year ago. It is a great product but the hitch assembly is heavy so be careful. I use a 4 wheel dolly to bring it out to the truck when I am going to put the hitch on just to save my back. It is a solid piece of steel. It took some time to adjust the hitch to right height so the trailer and truck is level but after that it is fine. Follow the directions by periodically tightening the bolts especially the brackets on the trailer. The only thing I would warn about is when backing and you have to turn sharp. Take the rods off as I had the rig turn while backing and the rod came partially off the bracket on the trailer. When I straighten up I bent the little "L" bracket. But since then I have not had any issues. The company, Curt, was great. They sent me a new set of "L" brackets at no cost. 406445

Comments

2 years later and the product works great. I had a tire blow out on our last trip earlier this month which caused the trailer to sway a little but then it settled down. It was either the product or my driving that stopped the trailer form swaying or both. Anyone who pulls a large trailer needs to have one of these. I am happy with the integration of the weight distribution and sway control. I am still satisfied with this purchase and confident while driving on the interstates there is control over the sway. On another note pertaining to the tire blowout, I would also recommend going to better load rating tire than what was put on by the manufacturer. I just replaced all the tires with an E rating including the spare. I only used the spare for less than 100 miles after the blowout and the tread was already separating.

Did a fair amount of research for towing with a Weight Distribution Hitch. Chose the Curt C17500 as best for my needs. Contacted etrailer since I needed this in a very short time. Talked with Susie and she was so helpful and professional. She really took the time to understand my needs and was clearly the person who took the personal lead to ensure I got the hitch on time. She confirmed the hitch would work for my truck/boat application including Surge brakes, etc. Time was of the essence and I had to decide between getting this locally at much higher price or taking a delivery risk with etrailer. In fact even before placing the order Susie had delivery pegged to an afternoon and was spot on when it arrived. I will certainly look to etrailer for my future needs. Thanks for a great experience etrailer and Susie. 245586

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

First off etrailer.com had a ton of information and the website was able to answer all my questions. My weight distribution hitch showed up fast and as described. Hitch was easy to install and worked exactly as described. I tow a 4000 pound camper with approx 400-800lbs of tongue weight depending on bed and camper load. I have a 2013 Toyota Tacoma. This hitch is easy to adjust and leveled the load. This hitch also allows backing up and that was a major selling point. 191299

Review from a similar Curt TruTrack in Weight Distribution

Installed it this past Saturday morning, for a new, larger/longer trailer that swayed a bit with my older chain-link equalizer system. Like doing anything the first time, it took awhile longer, figuring things out and having tools laid out. It would go much faster next time! Good instructions, got the set-up pretty good the first go-round (height and weight distribution and vehicle/trailer proper levels), did have to adjust it two more times to get it perfect. I do mean perfect. Got to the point adjusting height and loading on the equalizing/sway bars only took 15 minutes start to finish! Fine product, out on the road it worked great. The sway I had with the old chain-link equalizers was all but gone. Glad I spent the money for better safety! 542189
