Hey Matt, if you are trying to determine the brand and model you'd want to look for a brand sticker somewhere on the head or bars of the system. If none is present you could email me some pictures of it and I could hopefully recognize it. [email protected] is my email.

If you are looking for spring bar tongue weight rating that will most likely be listed on the spring bars. Not every brand labels their bars the same way so without knowing what you have that would be hard to be more specific than that for time being.

I know I have the product that I am asking this question under but am not sure of the GTW or the TW. The problem I am running into is, I share my camper. My truck is a 2024 Ram 2500. The other truck is a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500. Both have stark differences in the ride height. I already have this system but unsure of the weight limits of it so I would need to know the weight limits of the hitch plus I would need a larger shank for my truck. I am assuming you don’t mix and match pieces? I won’t need the bars but I would just need the ball and hitch and the larger shank for me and be able to use the bars from what I currently have. Hope that makes sense. I have upgraded trucks and the truck before worked with what I had but not so much anymore.

@MattD I would still need more info to determine the tongue weight range of your system so the info I mentioned earlier would be the best place to start on that. You can mix and match shanks but what would probably be the easiest solution would be to get a shank that can do a drop that works for both trucks and then adjust the head on the shank for either truck when switching. You would need a couple wrenches to do this each time but unless you wanted to also get a second head for the WD system (again would need more info) this is best option we have that we know will work. A drop shank like the # FA92-02-4214 would PROBABLY cover what you need but I would need to get more info from you on what shank you have now and how much additional drop would be needed etc.

@MattD I just pulled up your email. So all you need is a new shank then right like the one I mentioned? If you don't want to install the spring bars why not continue using the head and ball of the system you have now? Or if that doesn't work maybe you'd just want an adjustable ball mount.
