Question:
Is this hitch recommended for my situation or is there a better option? I will be pulling a 30foot - 7500 lbs travel trailer with a suspected loaded hitch weight of 1000 lbs. I will also have a 2000 lbs SxS in the back of the truck 2022 F350. Thank you

Hello Norman, thanks for reaching out. Also thanks for providing the loaded hitch weight, since that is key in selecting the correct weight distribution system. That said, what I recommend is the following:
- Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 12,000 lbs GTW, 1,200 lbs TW # EQ37120ET
The Equalizer systems are super solid, and they do a great job leveling your ride and preventing sway. It is a 4-point system so much more effective sway control compared to a 2-point system. This particular system is rated for trailers with a tongue weight between 800 and 1,200 lbs and you will be right in the middle of that range which is ideal.
A few things to keep in mind. The sway control brackets must be placed on the trailer tongue between 27" and 32" back from the hitch ball. Please check the A-frame and make sure there is room for the brackets with no obstructions from your propane tanks or battery box or something.
You will need a special 1-7/8" thin walled socket will be required to install the hitch ball. We offer one, part # EQ70-00-4800.
Lastly, the Equalizer system I mentioned comes with a 6-hole shank which equals about 3" of total drop. If you need more drop, you can buy the WD system without the shank as part # EQ37121ET, then you can buy the shank of your choosing separately. The Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4300, for example, has 6" of total drop.
Is the hitch on your Ford a 2" or 2-1/2"? Also what kind of trailer do you have? Have you thought about beefing up the trucks rear suspension at all? The SxS in the bed might cause some sagging.
Sorry for all the questions lol. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

Hello Jesse, thank you for the information. The truck has a factory 3" hitch that comes with a factory 2.5" reducing sleeve. I also have a 3" to 2" reducing sleeve that I use all the time with a cargo trailer. So not sure which size would be best for this sistuation. The trailer is a 30' RV travel trailer (Delta 262RB). I have already upgraded the trucks rear suspension for a truck camper that we also have. The upper overload springs have been upgraded to a 5 pack and I also have an extra leaf to the main springs so I don't think there will be any sagging - but thank you! Also, I do like the Curt C17501. Is this a good option for this situation or is the Equalizer better? I was thinking because of the weight in the back of the truck it may need more than a 12000 lbs hitch. Maybe a higher rated Equalizer? I appreciate your advice. Cheers, Norm
