Light changes how your ProMaster feels inside. Without it, the rear cargo door section stays dark and harder to use. This fixed side panel window replaces that solid section with glass, so you get more daylight and a clear view outside.
This window replaces the solid panel in the driver-side rear cargo door of your 2014-2026 Ram ProMaster, any wheelbase. Instead of a blank section at the back of the van, you gain a fixed glass panel that adds visibility and natural light without introducing vents or moving parts. That section stays sealed while opening up the rear of the van.
When you drive over bumps or uneven pavement, the body of the van moves slightly. The glass in this panel moves with the surrounding metal, which helps reduce stress at the edges and lowers the chance of cracking. To handle that movement, this window uses tempered safety glass that meets DOT and SAE standards for road use.
The rear cargo door window sits at eye level from outside and creates a direct sightline into the cargo space. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into the rear cargo door is permanent. The glass has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the door. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW74ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the glass is set into place, that urethane bonds it to the door and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the door cavity. This bond secures the glass and creates the weather barrier so you can bring in light without adding a vented opening.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at this Van Windows Direct OE style fixed rear cargo door glass for the driver's side rear cargo door on a 2014 through current year Ram ProMaster any wheel base. Now folks, make sure you're double-checking that fit guide as these videos can be outdated and it could potentially fit newer years, different wheel bases, et cetera. So always check the fit guide. One of the biggest upgrades you can make with your cargo van conversion is adding a rear window. So these don't just brighten the interior.
They're actually going to improve visibility. They're going to make your whole van feel more open. And as you can see, it's really reflecting. So it's going to reflect those UV rays back out so it's not going to get as hot inside as well. And the dark privacy tint will again reduce that glare as well.
Now this is engineered to follow the factory contours of the rear cargo door, giving your van a nice, clean OE style look once it's installed. You can see there on the image, you got the cutout up there where the door hinge is at, and that's where this is right here from the factory. Now these are a little bit thicker than OE glass. It's going to make them a little bit stronger as well and just more of a top tier, top shelf kind of install. On a glass like this, you will need to either have a professional install it or if you're going to do it yourself, you are going to need potentially some other items that are not included.
So you may need some urethane, the caulk gun for that, the primer, securing tape, potentially even foam seal installation tape and those kind of things. And just keep that in mind. Now that being said, if you don't wanna do it yourself, just use our locator, our install locator link below on the product page and we can help pair you with trusted etrailer installers in your area. And finishing up folks, this is made from tempered safety glass. So of course it meets all DOT and SAE safety standards.
And that's going to give you the insurance of the durability needed for a door that's open and closed every single day. So folks, this is our Van Windows Direct cargo door. Again, for the driver's side rear, I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
