Highlights

  • Matches Your Rear Door's Factory Shape: Formed to match the factory rear cargo door stamping.
  • Vent the Rear Cargo Area: Sliding glass panel allows adjustable airflow.
  • Keep Insects Outside: Helps keep insects out when the window is open.
  • Glass Stays in Position: Holds the sliding panel in the open or closed position.
  • Privacy and Glare Reduction: Reduces glare while maintaining visibility.
  • Creates the Primary Weather Seal: Installs with automotive urethane to form the primary seal.

Features to know about

Half-Slider Glass Operation

This sliding window replaces the fixed glass in the driver-side rear cargo door of your ProMaster. Instead of a sealed rear door panel, one section of glass slides open to create a vent at the back of the van. When you're parked for the night or carrying gear that needs airflow, that opening lets air move through the rear doors instead of leaving the back of the van closed off.

Built-In Mesh Screen And Latch

Mesh

When the glass is slid open, the integrated mesh screen stays in place to block insects from entering through the rear door opening. The spring-loaded latch holds the panel where you set it so the glass stays positioned while you're driving or parked.

17% Gray Solar Privacy Tint

The rear cargo doors sit at eye level from behind the van and create a direct view into the cargo area. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also reduces UV exposure through that rear door glass.

OE-Style Sprinter Rear Cargo Door Fit

Cutting into the rear cargo door is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the door skin. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.

Urethane-Bonded Door Installation

After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW74ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the window is set into place, that urethane bonds the frame to the door and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the interior cavity. This bond holds the window in place and creates the weather barrier so you can vent that section without opening the panel.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Van Windows Direct SE Series Sliding Van Window for the driver's side rear cargo door. Now this window has been designed to fit your 2014 to current RAM ProMaster 1500, 2500 and 3500. Now on this window, it is very important that you go through our vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer because this is a custom designed fit. It is made specifically for that ProMaster.

So you do want to make sure that you're going through our vehicle Fit Guide so we can confirm whether this window will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now this rear door window, as I mentioned, is designed specifically to fit the factory opening on your RAM ProMaster. So this is going to give you that clean OE style fit rather than looking like an aftermarket add-on. The half slider design is going to let you open part of the window whenever you want some fresh air or just some airflow through here. So it's very easy to open and close.

I love how smooth it is and secure once it latches shut. And of course, as you can see here, we do have this screen. I'll talk a little bit more about that in a second. The glass itself is a pure gray solar privacy glass. So if you notice here, you can see just how little of me you can see, which is probably better for my videos, the less that you see of me.

So this is going to block about 83% of UV rays. So that's going to help cut down on heat and glare while also giving you additional privacy. So again, it's got a pretty good tint to it. I think it's about a 17% tint that this glass has. We do have that listed there on this product page.

This is made from tempered safety glass and it's going to meet the DOT and SAE standard. So it's built with automotive safety and durability in mind. I do want to flip this around here just so you can see the inside. And I've got some rubber gloves on here just to give me additional grips since this is basically just a pane of glass. So I'm going to come around here and just show you how that opens. You got this latch here that you'll pull out. And then when you close it, it'll automatically latch. Very smooth operation. And then of course the screen is going to be here. It's a mesh screen like with any other typical screen. So it'll keep bugs out and critters out while you're enjoying that fresh air coming through your van. Now in regards to insulation, it's going to be similar to a factory style automotive windows installation. It's going to bond directly to the rear opening using automotive urethane. Of course, that's going to create the primary weather seal. Once installed, you're going to get the benefit of that ventilation and privacy that we've been talking about. On your screen, I'm including some items there that you are going to need to get this installed if you're doing it yourself. I believe this is considered a small window, so you'll probably be fine with that urethane for small windows there on the far right hand side. I've got the part numbers there as well for you. You'll definitely need some securing tape to hold this in place while you're installing this. Some other items there to consider as well, depending on which type of windows you're getting. But definitely you will need the urethane for that installation. But once this is installed, you're going to get the benefit of ventilation and that privacy while maintaining the clean appearance. It's going to compliment your ProMaster's factory exterior. Now speaking of insulation, this can be challenging to install. So if you're really not excited about pursuing that installation yourself, on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our Installer Locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
