The lower glass panel tilts outward to create an opening approximately 18" long x 7" tall, allowing fresh air to circulate inside your camper. The upper section remains fixed, maintaining structural stability while the lower portion provides controlled ventilation.
This bunk window sits at eye level from outside, creating a direct view into the sleeping area when parked near others or in public spaces. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
A built-in mesh screen covers the vented opening to keep insects out while air flows through. The screen is removable for cleaning.
This window installs using a clamp ring system that sandwiches the van wall between the interior and exterior frame. That creates a factory-style look and forms a weathertight seal when installed with the included foam tape so you can use the vent for airflow without letting rain in.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at this Van Windows Direct Universal Split-Awning Camper Van Window. Folks, one of the best upgrades you can make to your camper van is adding a window, because they do more than just let the light in, right They give you good ventilation, they can make your van feel cooler overall. It gives you a more comfortable inside living space and it's going to smell better, 'cause it's going to get any kind of stingy, mildewy kind of smell that stays out of there by keeping fresh air inside. So folks, this measures on the outside here, 34-inches long by 19 1/2 tall.
And it's a great option for living areas, galleys, or lounge spaces, where you want both natural light and fresh airflow. Now the cutout dimension, the area on the back here, that's going to be 28 3/4-inches long by that 17 7/8-inches tall. Now, as you can see, I also have a trim right here, and this is going to be crucial for when you're doing the installation. So you're going to need this, you're going to need those two to marry up whenever it's time for the install. I'm gonna go ahead and set that down.
And I do want to spin this kind of sideways now, 'cause I want you to get a view of the awning opening. So I have a knob back here on my side, and I'm going to simply crank that. And as you can see, I'm cranking that window open and that glass is going up. And about right there is where it's stopping. So I have a pretty decent opening here to work with.
And now I'm going to spin it around the other way so you can see the knob. So this is the knob that I'm spinning. And in this case, I'm just spinning clockwise to close it back up, all the way up. And then again, this split ring is going to be on the window when it's installed. And of course you have all the hardware there that you see before you on the table.
So I've got some clips, I've got some screws, bolts, nuts, those kind of things. One thing to mention is that you will possibly need some, if not all of these for the install. Excuse me, and this is going to be something you want to keep in mind. You may need the foam tape on something like this particular window. This is a smaller window, so you may need the urethane. And if you get the urethane and you don't have a caulk gun, there's a nice 26:1 ratio caulk gun that's great for pushing that urethane out evenly and smoothly. And that's just what the manufacturer recommends, so make sure you're checking the instructions. You can find them on the product page, as well, before you make your purchase. You've got a nice dark privacy tempered safety glass that's going to help reduce that glare, block that heat, and provide additional privacy, while still allowing you to see out. So as you can see, it blocks pretty much everything. You can still see me back here, but if the sun was shining, you can see it reflecting my lights there in the studio.
