Light changes how your ProMaster feels inside. Without it, the rear quarter side panel section stays dark and harder to use. This fixed side panel window replaces that solid section with glass, so you get more daylight and a clear view outside.
This window replaces the solid metal panel in the rear quarter position on the driver side of your 2014-2026 Ram ProMaster 159-inch extended wheelbase van. Instead of a blank section along the rear portion of the cargo area, you gain a fixed glass panel that adds visibility and natural light without introducing vents or moving parts. That section stays sealed while opening up the side of the van.
When you drive over bumps or uneven pavement, the body of the van moves slightly. The glass in this panel moves with the surrounding metal, which helps reduce stress at the edges and lowers the chance of cracking. To handle that movement, this window uses tempered safety glass that meets DOT and SAE standards for road use.
The rear quarter side panel window sits at eye level from outside and creates a direct sightline into the cargo space. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into the rear quarter side panel is permanent. The glass has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW84ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the glass is set into place, that urethane bonds it to the body panel and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the wall cavity. This bond secures the glass and creates the weather barrier so you can bring in light without adding a vented opening.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at our Van Windows Direct rear quarter side panel window on the driver's side of a 2014 to current year Ram ProMaster 3500. So folks, make sure you're checking the fit guide, be sure you're getting the right part the first time. Again, this is a fixed window design. It's going to replace the solid metal panel at the rear of your van, giving you more natural light and a clear view outside without adding any vents or moving parts.
So as you can see, it does reflect the light really good from the outside so on the inside, you're not seeing all those glares or the UV rays and stuff. This actually blocks out 83% of those UV rays. It's going to keep the inside cooler, but also let you see outside whenever you're inside looking out. It's a 17%, what they call a gray privacy tint. Now as you can see, again, this is an OE style design.
The glass does follow the contour of that rear quarter panel. As you can see, it's pretty thick and it also curves to match the contour of that ProMaster rear quarter panel. So again, when you install this, if you're tackling yourself, you're going to cut out that factory panel. You're going to need to apply a continuous bead of automotive urethane that's sold separately, along with the tools and primer and tape that you're probably going to need for the install as well. If you don't want to tackle the install yourself, no worries.
You can use our install locator link below, and you can find someone that we're affiliated with in your area based on your zip code. Now zooming in coming from the backside of the glass, what you're seeing now would be from the inside looking out. And if you notice, it's reflecting the lights in my studio, but if I tilt it down and I'm on the outside of your van looking in, you can see me, but you can't really see me too well. It's the same thing the other way. It does a great job of keeping the UV lights out.
It's not getting warm inside the van, but still allows you to see outside pretty decent. So again, I can see everything. It's just like wearing a pair of shades or sunglasses, honestly. So again, it's a 17% gray tint. It does a great job of blocking out the heat and the sun. Well, folks, I think that's going to wrap up our look together. It's this Van Windows Direct rear quarter side panel. Again, the driver's side for the ProMasters. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
