This half-slider bunk window fits camper vans with a bed platform along the wall. It brings in light and a sliding vent for airflow without cutting a tall window into your sleeping area.
When you build a bed platform along the wall, you lose the height for a standard window. A full-size opening would cut into cabinets or storage. This shorter bunk window fits in that narrow strip of wall above the bed, bringing in light without forcing you to change your layout.
Sleeping in a van without airflow gets stuffy fast. The sliding section lets you crack the window for fresh air while the mesh screen keeps bugs out. The spring-loaded latch holds it in place so it stays where you set it, even when you're driving.
This bunk window sits at eye level from outside, creating a direct view into the sleeping area when parked near others or in public spaces. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
This window installs using a clamp ring that sandwiches the van wall between the interior and exterior frame. That means no urethane adhesive cure time and no bonded glass to cut out later. The included hardware and foam tape create the seal around the opening, making it a more straightforward install for DIY builds so you can get airflow at the bed without waiting on long adhesive cure time.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at this Van Windows Direct half slider van bunk window for the passenger side. Now folks, this is gonna measure 34 by 11 inches on the outer with a 33 by 10 inch cutout dimension. Now this is gonna be great for above bed area. So this low profile design works great in those narrow wall spaces on those vans where a full height window, one's just gonna interfere with your cabinetry and two, you just may not have enough space. And what's neat about it is, is that you can slide this window open and now I have ventilation.
So the half slider section here is going to let that fresh air circulate through the bunk area while also help reducing heat buildup and it's gonna improve your overall comfort. And the screen's gonna do great about keeping out bugs and insects and stuff. And you can simply flip a couple levers on the backside here. Let me flip it around. You can flip these levers here and you can pop that screen out.
So if it's time to clean or anything, you can simply take this out, give it a good spray off or a good rinse on a garden hose or something of that nature, and then you just simply pop it back in, pull the tabs back in place, which is easier to do when it's mounted and then you're ready to go, right So very simple. Now you can see the backside where that latch is closing and holding closed. And you can also see the nice ring here. So that's what's neat about this installation, in my opinion, there's no urethane bonding required, right So this is what we call a clamping. And it's included along with the screws and with this nice cardboard stencil, cutout stencil.
Now just like the disclaimer sticker says here, please make sure you're double checking the cardboard as we know things can happen. For whatever reason, it could have been cut wrong. Just always double check that please before you use that and go cutting. So back to this ring here. So again, this clamp ring with the hardware and you're gonna use phone tape that's gonna form that weather tight seal without having to worry about that urethane adhesive.
So now we've saved time, we've knocked out some bad fumes in my opinion, and it's just a quick, easy installation overall at that point. And again, this is a great addition. It's gonna stay put while you're driving, even if you have that window open while you're driving. It's a spring, spring loaded latch, and that's gonna hold that window open or closed when you close it. That's gonna reduce movement, it's gonna reduce noise, and again, it's gonna keep stuff being able to circulate when you need to. As far as the exterior of it, everything here is a powder coated aluminum frame, so it's gonna match your other van trim and it's not gonna rust or corroded on you.
