Light changes how your ProMaster feels inside. Without it, the rear cargo door section stays dark and harder to use. This fixed side panel window replaces that solid section with glass, so you get more daylight and a clear view outside.
This window replaces the solid panel in the passenger-side rear cargo door of your 2014-2026 Ram ProMaster, any wheelbase. Instead of a blank section at the back of the van, you gain a fixed glass panel that adds visibility and natural light without introducing vents or moving parts. That section stays sealed while opening up the rear of the van.
When you drive over bumps or uneven pavement, the body of the van moves slightly. The glass in this panel moves with the surrounding metal, which helps reduce stress at the edges and lowers the chance of cracking. To handle that movement, this window uses tempered safety glass that meets DOT and SAE standards for road use.
The rear cargo door window sits at eye level from outside and creates a direct sightline into the cargo space. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into the rear cargo door is permanent. The glass has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the door. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW74ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the glass is set into place, that urethane bonds it to the door and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the door cavity. This bond secures the glass and creates the weather barrier so you can bring in light without adding a vented opening.

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Van Windows Direct rear cargo OE style fixed door for the passenger side rear cargo door. Now this cut-out here is going to be where your hinge goes and this fits a 2014 to current Ram ProMaster any wheel base. And I always recommend you double check the fit guide here at etrailer.com. Here are things like your make and model.
Be sure you get the right parts the very first time. Now this window has been engineered to follow the factory contours of that rear cargo door. As I mentioned, right here is where that hinge would be. And again, this is the passenger side. We do carry the driver's side separately as well.
And then once this is installed, you're going to have an OE style appearance and look, but this is going to give you a better upgrade than the standard because it's a little bit thicker, and it has a little darker tint to it as well. And that tint's going to do a couple effects. So it's going to reduce glaring. You can see it's reflecting my studio overhead lights really, really well, almost like a mirror. And then it's going to block out so much light so I can see through there, but it's also going to keep those harmful UV rays from entering the van.
And it's going to knock about 88% of those UV rays out to be exact. And that's going to help keep the inside cool. It's going to help keep everything inside cool as well. So installation is pretty straightforward. That being said, if you don't want to tackle it, you can use our install locator link below.
And based on your zip code, we can pair you up with trusted etrailer installation technicians and, excuse me, businesses in your area. Now that being said, if you do want to do it yourself, you will probably need the use of some urethane for sure, the caulk gun, and probably the primer and the tape, and possibly the foam seal insulation tape as well. On this particular window, I would consider it's a small window. So you probably just need the small urethane kit as far as that goes. And that urethane's a black color. It's by Sika Flex, and they're the leader as far as automotive adhesives and installation types of chemicals and stuff. So very nice products. And again, that's what you're going to need sold separately if you're going to tackle this yourself, along with some sort of cutting material to cut the metal of the door if there's not already a spot cut out for it as well. Well folks, that's going to wrap up our quick look together at this Van Windows rear cargo door from the passenger side. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
