Features to know about

Half-Slider Glass Operation

This sliding window replaces the fixed glass panel on your Ram ProMaster, whether it is in the sliding door or forward side position. Instead of a sealed section of glass, one portion slides open to create a vent in that panel. When you're parked, sleeping inside, or working out of the van, that opening lets air move through the cabin instead of leaving the panel closed off.

Built-In Mesh Screen And Latch

When the glass is slid open, the integrated mesh screen stays in place to block insects from entering through the opening. The spring-loaded latch holds the panel where you set it so the glass stays positioned while you're driving or parked.

17% Gray Solar Privacy Tint

The ProMaster panels sit at eye level from outside and create a direct view into the cargo area. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also reduces UV exposure through that section of glass.

OE-Style Ram ProMaster Panel Fit

Cutting into a ProMaster panel is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.

Urethane-Bonded Installation

After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW84ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the window is set into place, that urethane bonds the frame to the body panel and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the wall cavity. This bond holds the window in place and creates the weather barrier so you can vent that section without opening the panel.

Video Transcript for Review of Van Windows Direct Van Windows - Half-Slider Window - VW85FR

Hi everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the unique Van Windows Direct SE Series sliding window for a 2024 through current year, 2026. Ram ProMaster any wheelbase that's out there. So folks, as I said, it fits up to the current year, 2026. So in the event, the future you're watching this, it could potentially fit newer models perhaps.

So always check the fit guide with anything you get from us that is a custom fit over here at etrailer.com, enter things like your make and model, make sure you're getting the right parts the first time. As you can see, this is a half slider. If you're camping or sleeping or working out in your ProMaster van, airflow is going to make a huge difference. Take that from me. I got a buddy who owns one.

They go camping a lot. It gets hot in there. But with the AC and everything they got, it actually gets nice and cool. So they've actually added some of these in their van, made a big difference. They started with a nice full metal when they did the cutouts and everything.

And it makes it look a lot bigger inside. That was the biggest thing I noticed. When you add glass, whether it's a mirror or a window even, it just makes the small rooms and spaces feel bigger. And that's exactly what it does inside those vans. It's going to let natural light in.

It's going to let natural air, ventilation. I keep the screen closed. I keep the bugs out and everything. And what I'm going to do is whenever I want to have a privacy, obviously I can close the whole thing in. Now I have that tent to kind of hide behind as well. It's a 17% privacy tint. It's going to limit how easy someone can see inside, as you can see it reflects in my studio lights really well. And it's also going to limit the UV rays. So the glares, UV exposure, about 83% of UV rays are going to be blocked by this. Turn to the side here. You kind of see our side profile. Zooming in, you can see a little better. This latch is spring loaded. I just pull out, gentle pull out, and then I can slide the whole glass. I still have that screen there or I can slide the screen as well and I can have the full thing. I can close them both at once. And as you can see here from the inside looking out, it's almost like looking with a pair of shades on. I can see out a lot better obviously than I can from the outside looking in where it's blocked more. And again, that's what you want. You don't want people seeing inside unless they get their face right up on there and stuff. They're not going to be able to. So folks, this is an OE factory style, meaning it's going to form and follow the factory stamping of the ProMaster vans. And then whenever you cut out that metal spot where this is going to go, you will need some automotive grade urethane for the install. That is sold separately. We do carry that here at etrailer. That being said, if you don't want to do the install yourself, we also have you covered. If you scroll down below the product page here, use it below the photos and the videos. One of the top things you should see is an install locator link or install locator tool. Click on that link. Based on your zip code, we can help pair you up with trusted technicians that we're affiliated with in your area. Well folks, that's going to wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
