  • Urethane-Bonded Installation: Installs with automotive urethane to form the primary seal.

Features to know about

Half-Slider Glass Operation

This sliding window replaces the fixed glass in the driver-side rear cargo door of your Sprinter. Instead of a sealed rear door panel, one section of glass slides open to create a vent at the back of the van. When you're parked for the night or carrying gear that needs airflow, that opening lets air move through the rear doors instead of leaving the back of the van closed off.

Built-In Mesh Screen And Latch

When the glass is slid open, the integrated mesh screen stays in place to block insects from entering through the rear door opening. The spring-loaded latch holds the panel where you set it so the glass stays positioned while you're driving or parked.

17% Gray Solar Privacy Tint

The rear cargo doors sit at eye level from behind the van and create a direct view into the cargo area. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also reduces UV exposure through that rear door glass.

OE-Style Sprinter Rear Cargo Door Fit

Cutting into the rear cargo door is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the door skin. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.

Urethane-Bonded Door Installation

After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW84ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the window is set into place, that urethane bonds the frame to the door and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the interior cavity. This bond holds the window in place and creates the weather barrier so you can vent that section without opening the panel.

Video Transcript for Review of Van Windows Direct Van Windows - SE Series Sliding Window Drivers Rear Cargo Door - VW27VR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Van Windows Direct SE series sliding van window for your driver side rear cargo door. Now this has been designed to fit your 2019 to 2021 Freightliner Sprinter 1500, 2500, 3500 and 4500's. And then your 2019 to current Mercedes Benz Sprinter. Again, the 1500, 2500, 3500 and 4500.

Now, it is important that you go through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer before purchasing one of these windows because you do want to make sure that you're getting the window that is designed specifically for your vehicle. So once you go through our vehicle fit guide, it will indeed point you in the right direction. So this rear door window is, as I mentioned, designed specifically to fit the factory opening on your sprinter. And this is going to give you a clean OE style fit, rather than looking like some aftermarket add-on. As you notice here, we do have this half slider design that's going to let you open part of the window.

Whenever you want some airflow through the van, I'm gonna try to give you a slightly different angle, hopefully a little bit closer view here. So you can see I've got the window open and it's going to close very easily as well. So overall, just a really smooth operation. The glass itself is a pure gray solar privacy glass. It has about a 17% tint.

So that's going to block like 83% of UV rays to help cut down on heat and glare while also giving you additional privacy. And if you notice, obviously I'm behind the glass, which is better for my video so you can't see me as well. So here's the window open, here's the screen open, and then close it. And you can see that it does cut down on the transparency. So it's going to be really add privacy when you're inside the van, but it's also going to make, help keep your van cooler with that tint and block UV rays.

This is made from tempered safety glass and it's going to meet the DOT and SAE standards. So it's built with automotive safety and durability in mind. I'm going to flip this around here being, trying to be careful not to drop this. I wanted to give you a better view of the inside or the other side here. So you've got the latch here, you're just going to pull that out. That's going to allow you to slide the window out. See the screen there It's a mesh screen, typical mesh screen to keep the critters out. And then just push it back firmly and then it's going to latch in place automatically, just like that. Insulation's going to be similar to a factory style automotive window. This is going to bond directly to the opening using automotive urethane, which is going to create that primary weather seal. Once installed though, you're going to get the benefit of having this sliding glass window installed. On your screen, I wanted to show you some of the items that you're probably going to need. You're definitely going to need the urethane and you're probably gonna wanna to pick up the urethane for larger windows. It comes with an additional supply there of urethane. So the urethane is important to get. The securing tape might be a good idea as well just to hold the window in place and the primer as well to prepare the opening, once either you cut into it or remove the original window. So all those items are available here at etrailer and I've got the part numbers there that'll work for each of those items. If you have any questions, then give us a call. But overall, if you decide this is what you want but you're not too crazy about doing the installation yourself, we can help you with that because on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to do the install for you. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
