In a camper van, the wall space above the bed is limited, but airflow back there can get stuffy without it. This half-slider bunk window adds a vented opening with a built-in screen, so you get air movement without removing a larger section of wall.
When you build a bed platform along the wall, you lose the height for a standard window. A full-size opening would cut into cabinets or storage. This shorter bunk window fits in that narrow strip of wall above the bed, bringing in light without forcing you to change your layout.
The sliding portion opens to allow airflow into the bunk area while the mesh screen keeps insects out. The vented section gives you air movement without removing a large section of wall.
This bunk window sits at eye level from outside, creating a direct view into the sleeping area when parked near others or in public spaces. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Van Windows Direct Overlander half slider van bunk window. Now this bunk window is designed specifically for the space above your van's bed platform where a full size window would get in the way of overhead cabinets or other interior components. The low profile design is going to give you your natural light and ventilation without sacrificing usable interior space. Now before we go any further, let me go ahead and give you some measurements. So let me start with the outer dimensions first.
So I'm going to kind of lean this up against me here, get my tape measure and just end to end looking at the overall length. Hopefully you can see that we're sitting right at 36-3/4-inches. And then the overall height, just from bottom to top, we're sitting right at about 13-1/8-inches. Now the cutout dimensions are going to be, let me flip this around here, are going to be right at 35-7/16-inches by 11-7/8-inches. So we do have those measurements listed for you on this product page in case you need to refer back to them.
The half slider section is going to let you open the window as you can see here to bring fresh air into the sleeping area while the built-in mesh screen is going to keep bugs outside. And then to close it, you just push it shut and it'll click shut just like that. So hope you could hear and then it'll lock. So very easy to open and close just like that. Now for added privacy, when you're parked at a campground or in a public area, this glass features a 17% gray tint that's going to make it more difficult for people to see inside the bunk while still allowing you to see outside.
So as you can see here, you can see the difference here with the tinting. So that's a nice added feature that we have here. And it's also going to block about 83% of UV rays, helping reduce sun exposure through that section of the van. The vented opening is going to be right at about 16-inches by 9-3/8-inches. Insulation is going to be pretty straightforward thanks to the clamp ring design, which is going to create a weather tight seal without the need for messy urethane adhesive.
On the outside, the black aluminum frame is going to give the window a clean factory style appearance. It's going to match other exterior trim and built-in drainage holes are going to help channel away moisture that collects around the frame to keep the window performing as intended. You're going to get everything that you see here for insulation.
