Light changes how your ProMaster feels inside. Without it, the middle side panel section stays dark and harder to use. This fixed side panel window replaces that solid section with glass, so you get more daylight and a clear view outside.
This window replaces the solid metal panel in the middle position on the driver side of your 2014-2026 Ram ProMaster 159-inch standard or extended wheelbase van. Instead of a blank section along the center of the cargo area, you gain a fixed glass panel that adds visibility and natural light without introducing vents or moving parts. That section stays sealed while opening up the side of the van.
When you drive over bumps or uneven pavement, the body of the van moves slightly. The glass in this panel moves with the surrounding metal, which helps reduce stress at the edges and lowers the chance of cracking. To handle that movement, this window uses tempered safety glass that meets DOT and SAE standards for road use.
The middle side panel window sits at eye level from outside and creates a direct sightline into the cargo space. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into the middle side panel is permanent. The glass has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane (VW74ZR - sold separately) is applied around the perimeter. When the glass is set into place, that urethane bonds it to the body panel and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the wall cavity. This bond secures the glass and creates the weather barrier so you can bring in light without adding a vented opening.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at our Van Windows Direct Fixed Middle Side Panel Window for the driver's side of a 2014 through current year Ram ProMaster, the 159-inch standard or extended wheel base. So, folks, make sure you're double checking the Fit Guide, be sure you're getting the right parts the first time. Now, if you're thinking of converting that ProMaster into a camper, maybe a mobile workspace or just an adventure van, one of the biggest changes you can do is add in some light, right Especially natural light. So, this solid panel will do just that. And as you know, rooms, if you bring in windows or mirrors, they just feel larger, they feel more spacious.
That's exactly what you're gonna get with a pane of glass like this. As you can see, it does a great job reflecting light back out. It has a 17% privacy tint. So, this will sit around eye level in that van, so that's gonna help limit how easily someone from outside can see in and how much you can see out as well, but it's gonna block 83%, roughly, of those UV rates. Now, of course, it's a tempered safety glass that meets all DOT and SAE standards.
It also follows that factory contour of the van. It even has a little slight curve to it, so all that's gonna fit nicely onto the van. Now, as far as installation, obviously you're gonna cut out where that stamped section is on that, excuse me, that part of the van where this goes, and then you're gonna wanna use some automotive urethane and that's going to not only just secure the glass to the metal, but it's also gonna be the sealant as well for moisture and those kinda things. Now, we do carry that stuff separately as you can see on the screen. I recommend the top left urethane kit for large windows so you get two tubes of the urethane there, and then a caulk gun if you don't have that 26-to-one ratio that's gonna help squeeze it out at the correct consistency and then primer and securing tape and maybe some installation foam seal as well if you need it.
All that to say, if you don't wanna tackle it yourself, I totally understand it. No one likes cutting holes in the side of their vehicle, right We do have installation locations around the nation, and you can scroll down below the pictures on the product page. You can find the installation link or Installer Locator tool link. Give us your ZIP code, and based on your location, we can help pair up with one of those install locations to get that done for you. So, again, folks, this is gonna be a fixed window.
It does not slide, vent or anything like that. It's just gonna give you a great option to be able to have some privacy, but also let in some light. And that's gonna wrap up our look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
