This winch was made to handle your 20' boat. It's rated at 2,600 lbs and offers 2 cranking speeds so you can get the torque you need to manuever your boat onto the trailer. The zinc plating makes it resistant to corrosion.
Note: Straps and cables are not included.
This winch has a low-speed option and a high-speed option. You can shift between the two by attaching the handle to the two input shafts. Quickly take up the slack with the high-speed mode, then shift to low speed to get more pulling power and manuever your boat into place.
The slotted screw holes on the winch give you lots of leeway for where and how you can mount it. It's easy to replace your old hand winch, even if it's from a different brand like Fulton or Dutton-Lainson.
This steel winch is zinc plated to prevent rust and corrosion. It will have no problem handling water.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this CURT two-speed boat trailer winch. Now, this winch was made to handle your 20-foot long boat. It is rated at 2,600 pounds and it gives you two cranking speed so you can get the torque that you need to maneuver your boat onto the trailer. And let me see if I can just give you a brief demonstration of how this is going to work.
So right now, I do have this on the the high-speed option and it's gonna be very easy to switch. So you've got basically three positions. So the high-speed option, and then I'm going to push this lever. And then right there, that's going to be the neutral option. And then when I bring this all the way over here, then that's going to be the low-gear option.
So I'm gonna go ahead and just slide that back to the high-gear option. That's gonna be 5.1 to 1 gear ratio. And then skipping neutral to the low here, that gear ratio is gonna be 12.7 to 1. So you're gonna be able to quickly take up the slack with the high-speed mode and then shift to low speeds to get more pulling power and maneuver your boat into place. So I'm gonna see if I can give you a demonstration of that.
I'm gonna move this off my turntable 'cause that's gonna work a little bit easier. Plus, I need the clearance for the handle. So I'm just gonna move this to the front of my table, hopefully staying in frame there. Looks like it. So I have this currently in the low-gear option (winch cranking) as you can see.
And then I have a lever right here that's going to allow me to change direction. (winch cranking) Hopefully you can see that. And then now I'm gonna slide this over to neutral. So nothing's happening there, obviously. Oops, got caught in the low gear there. And then I'm gonna switch it over to the high gear. (winch cranking) And then switch the direction. (winch cranking) So that's how easy this is going to be to switch between the gears (winch cranking) or just slide it into neutral. And then the slotted screw holes here on the winch are gonna give you lots of leeway for where and how you can mount this. So it's gonna be easy to replace your old hand winch, even if it's from a different brand, maybe like Fulton or Dutton-Lainson. The handle length is about a little over 10 inches altogether, the handle length. And then just the length of the winch itself, let's see if I can give you some measurements here. So measuring what we're gonna call the. Let's call this the length here, just from end to end, just give you a rough measurement. Pretty close to about 9 1/2 inches. Maybe a little over 9 1/2 inches. And then the width. We're gonna be sitting. I'm gonna, as much as possible, be counting with our. The widest point, I guess you could say. Right about 9 inches wide. Then the overall height, not including the handle, I'm gonna say about 6 1/4 inches. So hopefully that gives you a good idea of the size. Straps and cables are not included, so that would be a separate purchase if you don't already have that. Instructions are included to guide you through the installation and the operation. If you do pick this up, we'd love to hear back from you regarding how everything's working out for you, how the installation went, how the operation's going.
