Today we're taking a look at it a Peterson great white LED license plate light. This is a compact LED light that illuminates your trailer's license plate.LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, they burn brighter, they're more efficient. With LEDs you don't have to worry about brittle filaments and you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs.The unit has a really nice metal base with a black powder coated finish to resist rust and corrosion and then the housing around the light is a chrome plastic which gives it a really nice look and design. And then we have a clear lens over white LEDs.It mounts on the surface of your trailer. Mounting hardware not included.

And it has a two wire design./ White for ground, black for power. It's department of Transportation approved when properly mounted.We're going to take a look at the dimensions real quick. Then we'll hook it up to power so you can see what it looks like with power running to it. Edge to edge right here is about four inches. Top to bottom measures about one and 5/8 inches.

Very front to very back measures about two and one quarter inches deep. The mount holes on the unit are separated on center by three and a half inches.We're going to go and hook it up to power. That way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. So again, our white wire is the ground wire and black wire is that main power feed.So here you can see the light sends out a really nice signal. So if we had a license plate mounted below it, it would do a great job at illuminating that.

It's a two diode design. So we have an LED here and a LED here, so the multi diode design really helps optimize that overall light output.That's going to do it for today's look at the Peterson great white LED license plate light.
