I've got that trailer that has had one tough life. Yep, hundreds of gigs, PA and sound equipment rolling in and out, the heat, the cold, the sun, rain, and snow. Chicks, guitar players and drummers, you know, all the things that beat the hell out of a drum! Thank the music Gods for etrailer.com! The place to remedy the ills that trailers need in times of harsh environments, tough crowds, tin-ear'd musicians, and you ain't nothing but Hound Dogs!

by:

Not bad at all. Curious to see how it holds up in a salt water environment.

by:

Just what we needed to make a custom harness for our boat trailers that we often tow with light and medium-duty wreckers. No more zip-typing our wireless drag lights to the trailers! Thanks, guys!

by:

Excellent Quality! Highly recommend etr ailer

by:

Items were simply “thrown in the box” WITH the hitch which was not secured properly. Heavy hitch then bounced around on electrical connectors, destroying them. Components should have been fastened to the hitch as the hardware kit was with strong tape instead of just thrown into the box by somebody! Refund issued.

by:

Great place for any trailer needs. They alway gave what I want at a good price and fast shipping.

by:

This Pollak brand works really well...fits nicely into the matching Pollak vehicle receptacle. I aways get matching Pollak connectors for this reason. I found more than one wiring diagram on the etrailer website with different pole assignments. This one was wrong... http://www.etrailer.com/question-19779.html . I ended up using the configuration that matched the flat round to four round connector... http://www.etrailer.com/Wiring/Custer/ADP001.html . If I had used the wrong configuration recommended by the experts Q&A articles then my wiring would not have matched the factory converter. So I recommend wiring the Pollak PK11402 to match the Custer ADP001.

Buying anything you need for towing at etrailer is the third surest thing you can do after death and taxes. You are an idiot if you don’t (Yes I call you a politically incorrect word). Product gets to you about same time your bank or credit card gets notified of the purchase. The products are superior in quality and fit and the service is beyond reproach in their excellence. In fact, if there is even a hint of dissatisfaction of any kind, they will move mountains to make you happy. I continue to buy all my towing needs from here and tell everyone know where I do get my stuff (highly technical word).

Actually using this to repair an Island Hopper 40lb salt water electric trolling motor. It was through searching (all over the web) the etrailer website that I found it. This is what Island Hopper uses as part of their trolling motor setup.. their wiring from the mother board to the actual trolling motor. Believe it or not. Ha Ha Thanks to etrailer, I can do my own repair now, rather than sending the unit back to the dealer for big buck repair job.
The part....ordered and received.... is excellent. Heavy duty, good finish, easy to use.
On the side, allow me to compliment etrailer. I have made a few purchases from them, and they are always fast, correct and efficient. And can't complain about their prices. Glad you folks are around.

by:

Hi All. I was extremely pleased with the price, the quick service and the durability of the plug. I looked all over and the price and delivery terms and rates were way better than the rest. The hook up was easy. The plug is way better quality then the regular 4 Prong I had before. When I test the lights they are all always working. Very happy. Good job. Thx

by:

I like the metal construction with the locking tab. The electrical wireing sockets are brass for corrosion resistance, uses simple screw attachment for the wiring, and handy finger grips for removal from the trailer socket. Four prong plug is all I require.

by:

Nice and sturdy, easy to attach wires.

Recommend
you use some sort of insulator/tape around wire at hold down clamp.

Fits a little snug first times on and off receptacle.

I am using as adapter to a 4 wire flat trailer connector.

by:

Nice way to connect basic trailer wiring to a vehicle. Install the matching female socket on the trailer. No dangling wires to get frayed and broken. Etrailer always has the right products and shipping is prompt.

by:

I was disappointed when I opened the package. The connections are to be used together. These connections can never be used as 1 unit on a trailer and Vehicle. The pin , and Holes on the female, and male plugs are different.

by:

Connectors work as expected. Overall experience with etrailer.com is very favorable.

by:

This is the first time I have changed out a 4-way flat for a 4-way round. Easy to do once I figured out what needed to be done. The on-line instructions were very helpful. Project turned out well. Good product and have had no problems on the road. JD

by:

Product was exactly as listed. I'm using it to plug a salt spreader into the truck. Should make plugging it in much easier than the old beat up factory harness. Extremely fast shipping. Etrailer will now be where I get all of my trailer parts.

by:

Just what I needed…

by:

Excellent quality product. Looks good and works well.

by:

Great product. Heavy duty. Will only match up with another Pollak connector. Light weight units from Hopkins and others will not connect.

by:

Works great. I'm using it on my tractor to run a sprayer with an electric pump.

by:

Fits HD Pollak Connector where other brands do not.

by:

Connector was high quality, delivery was fast, price was good, and packaging adequate. Nice to do business here.

by:

Great service. Just got home and haven't had a chance to put it on my trailer yet.

by:

Ordering was quick and easy.

  • Best Way to Connect a 4-Way Round Trailer End to 4-Way Flat Vehicle End
The easiest way to get your 4-Way flat vehicle end to connect to your trailer with a 4-Way round is to remove the 4-way round from your trailer and connect the wires to a Draw-Tite 4-Pole Trailer End Connector, part # 18004. This will give you a 4-Way flat on your trailer. In general, on a trailer, the white wire is the ground wire, the yellow wire transmits the left turn/brake signal, the green wire transmits the right turn/brake signal, and the brown wire is the running lights. I spoke to Roadmaster and they said all 4 internal wires of the # RM-1064-B are 12 gauge jacketed wire. The Pollak Heavy Duty 4 Pole Round Trailer End # PK11402 would attach to the end of the # RM-1064-B very nicely. This would then pair with the Pollak Heavy Duty 4 Pole Round Vehicle End # PK11404. • What is the Wire Gauge Used in Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Extension - 4-Pole Round
The Hopkins Coiled Extensions with the Nite-Blow such as # HM47045 use 16 gauge wires on the inside. Trailer wiring harnesses usually use 16 to 18 gauge wire for lighting functions and heavier wire for components that draw more amperage. On a 4-Way, you should have left and right turn signals/brake lights, running lights, and a ground so 16 gauge wire will work fine. But if it is for something other than lights then you would likely need to make an extension. We have jacketed 4-wire, #...
