Today, we're gonna take a look at the Peterson Great White chrome snap-in LED trailer license plate light. Now, this compact LED light illuminates your trailer's license plate, can also be used in utility courtesy light applications. The LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights 'cause they'll last 50 times longer. They're more efficient, provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bulbs to replace or no brittle filaments.This one is a white lens over a white LED, has a chrome-plated steel housing that'll shield the top half of the light, and it is a simple snap-in installation. Requires a one and a quarter inch diameter hole for mounting. You can see it's a two wire pigtail design, includes the power lead and a ground wire, and the length on those wire leads are about eight inches.This light is DOT compliant when it's mounted in pairs, one on each side of the license plate.
Voltage on this is 12 volts. The LEDs do come with a limited lifetime warranty.Last thing I wanna do is give you some dimensions and then we're gonna plug it into 12 volts to show you how bright it is. So the diameter on this, it's gonna be right at one and a half inches. Total depth from the front to the very back of the metal, not including that rubber plug, about one inch.And again, we're gonna go ahead and light this up. I'll turn off the overhead lights to give you an idea.
We'll go ahead and take our . and we got them both lit up, or both hooked up. And there we go. And you can see there's the bottom half, the light, the LED shining through. Go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see really how bright it is for just a small compact light like that.
