Forget changing bulbs or dealing with dim lights. This 6-1/2" x 2-1/4" oval LED tail light uses six red LEDs that shine brighter and last up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs. It handles stop, turn, and tail functions with clean, efficient light that draws less power—just 0.161 amps on stop/turn and 0.007 amps on tail at 12.8V. That means more visibility and less strain on your electrical system.
Water and trailer lights don’t always mix, but this one is built to take it. The polycarbonate housing and clear lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit. That makes it fully submersible, keeping water out so the diodes and circuitry stay protected from corrosion and moisture damage—ideal for trailers that see wet roads or regular submersion.
Installing new lights doesn’t have to be complicated. This light is made for recessed mounting with a grommet (A70GB, sold separately) that fits snugly into a standard oval light cutout. It accepts an industry-standard 3-prong plug (A45PB straight or A47PB right-angle, both sold separately), so wiring is quick, clean, and straightforward.
Built tough for regular use, the clear polycarbonate lens and housing resist impact, cracking, and wear over time. There are no bulbs to replace or filaments to break—just solid-state LEDs sealed inside a strong shell that keeps working season after season. And since it’s DOT compliant and backed by a lifetime warranty on the LEDs, you can count on long-term reliability every time you tow.

Hi there neighbors. Today, we're going to be taking a look at Optronics LED stop, turn and tail light trailer lights. These are available with either a red lens with clear LEDs or with a clear lens and red LEDs. With these two options, you can have a more modern look on your trailer with the clear lenses, or maintain a more traditional look with your red lenses. With the lights out, I've got our tail lights on and you can't even tell any difference between the clear lens and the red lens, as they both illuminate about the same. In addition to your tail lights, you're also going to get your left turn signal, brake lights, and your right turn signal.
Your lights will easily fit into the oval holes on your trailer, as they're the standard 6.5" x 2.25" size. Now, if your trailer doesn't already have these oval shaped holes in them, you can purchase brackets, as well as the grommets to keep them in there, nice and tight, here at etrailer.com. Each led light has six LEDs inside of it to aluminate the lens, and it's a quick and easy installation. The light simply just pops in to your oval slot, and it plugs in using a standard three wire pigtail. Now, if your trailer doesn't have a standard three-wire pigtail or you're adding additional lights to it, you can purchase those pigtails here at etrailer.com. What I like about these pigtails is that our ground wire has a ring terminal pre-installed on it, ready to tap right in the ground, and we've got two circuit wires here for our lights here. We can wire up our turn and stop circuit to one and our taillights to the other.
On our light side, the connector end is pre-greased with dielectric grease to ensure a long lasting connection, by keeping out any moisture and corrosion that could potentially build up around them. To install it, you simply plug in your lights and push it in place. The polycarbonate housing has been sonically sealed, so it's submersible underwater. This is ideal for your boat trailers because you can back your trailer down into the loading dock. And if it dips under the water, no big deal. You can easily load up your boat, and you won't have to worry about any damage occurring to your lights here at the back.
LEDs last significantly longer than your typical incandescent bulbs. So it's going to be a great upgrade, if you're wanting to get those incandescent bulbs off your trailer or a great replacement, if you've got some damaged lights in your trailer. Additionally, these can also be added, if you want more lighting at the back of your trailer. They come as a quantity of one, so if you need one for each side, you want to make sure that you purchase two. And that completes our look at Optronics LED stop, turn, and tail trailer lights..
