Specs:
This trailer light has a weathertight plug that's designed to block out moisture. It needs a particular adapter (AL45PWTB - sold separately) to plug into a 3-plug pigtail and connect to your vehicle or trailer. Pick up a right-angle pigtail (A47PB - sold separately) or a straight pigtail (A45PB - sold separately) if you don't have one already.
This light installs in a grommet (A45GB - sold separately) and requires cutting a hole into your trailer if it doesn't already have one.
If you'd rather not cut a hole in your trailer, you can use an optional mounting bracket (BK45BB - sold separately) instead. You will still need the A45GB grommet.

Today we're going to be taking a look at part number S T L four one three R M B. This is the Optronics LED trailer light. The round trailer light is going to serve three functions. It's going to function as your stop light, your tail light, and your turn signal light. It's going to feature the sonically sealed water proof housing and lindge unit, so this trailer light is submersable. LED's are going to make great replacements for incandescent lights, they're going to last a lot longer.
They're going to be more efficient, and you don't have worry about replacing the bulbs, and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. We're going to have the polycarbinate red lens and the polycarbinate white housing, very strong and durable. This is designed to be a recess mount installation with a mounting grommet. Your mounting grommet is sold separately. Here on the back side we have the weather tight connection point. This does require an adapter, part number A L four five P W T B, that is sold separately. That is required in order to work with an industry standard three prong plug.
The light is department of transportation compliant. We're going to take a few measurements real quick, starting with the overall diameter. That's going to give us a measurement of about four and five sixteenths of an inch. If we measure the depth, that's going to give us a measurement of about eleven sixteenths of an inch. If we take a look at the depth, including the plug here on the back, that's going to give us a measurement of about one and five eighths of an inch. Now, this lights going to contain four diodes or four LED's. It's going to have a power droll of twelve point eight volts.
For the stop and turn lights it has zero point one six zero amps. For the tail lights, zero point zero zero eight amps. Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on our LED's, we're going to go and hook it up to our external power supply, that way you can see what it looks like with power running to it. So here's what the plus looks like that goes with it. Plug it in, it snaps in there for a nice, tight, secure connection. So you can see here, it sends out a nice, strong, consistent signal.
It's going to have four LED's, this is going to be the tail light function when we apply our brakes. You see how that illuminates for a stronger signal output, and it's going to function the same way when we activate our turn signal. That's going to do it for today's review, part number S T L four one three R M B.
