Video Transcript for Checking Out the Fusion LED Hardwired Trailer Light

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we take a look at this Optronics round, FUSION LED, hardwired stop, tail, turn, and backup trailer light with the red and the clear lens. Now, this round trailer tail light has a nice smooth, red exterior, and it serves four functions. Now, we do have this hooked up to some 12-volt power just to show you those functions. So what I'm gonna do first is go ahead and turn on the 12-volt power, and you get your tail light function as your first one here.

We'll go ahead and turn off the overhead light. There's your tail light function. Now, when you do apply your brakes, you will notice that those light up a lot brighter to let people know you're applying your brakes. And then if you're going to make a turn, you just hit your turn signal, and you can see that they light up brighter but also flash. And the last thing, I wanted to show you the backup light, which is gonna be this center bar right in here.

Let me go ahead and hook that up, so we can show you. Okay, and now when you go into reverse, if you watch that center bar, you'll see that you'll get the four white LEDs in that center bar. That gives you the reverse backup light. So when you go into reverse, people will be able to see that you're backing up. Now, this light is 14 LEDs, basically four white ones right there in the center, and then if you notice the 10 red ones all the way around on the outer band.

Turn back on our power, or turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power. Now, this light is a sonically-sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit, which makes it submersible. It does use the durable SMT technology, which is surface mount technology. That's the construction of the LED circuit board inside here.

This'll let it better withstand shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution. Now, we mentioned these are LEDs, and LEDs will make great replacements for incandescent lights. 'Cause number one, they'll last 50 times longer. And they're more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. And the main thing is no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments that are gonna break. And you do get a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. We mentioned the red lens right here, and then you have the white lens in the middle. So the red lens has the red LEDs for the tail light, stop, and turn functions. And the center clear lens has white LEDs for the backup light. Now, to install this, it is a recessed-mount, grommet-mount design. Does use a rubber grommet to install this. Now, that is not included. We do sell that rubber grommet separately on our website. It's part number A45GB. This light is hardwired and ready to install. The length on the wire is about eight inches. And the wire configuration will start with the black. That's your tail light function. White is your ground. Red is gonna be your stop and turn function. And then the brown is your backup light. This is DOT, Department of Transportation, compliant. Does meet the Federal Vehicle Motor Safety Standards 108 requirements for automotive lighting. We mentioned it is a 12-volt light. Last thing is just give you dimensions on it. The diameter of this light, 4 1/4 inches. And the depth of it, right at 7/8 of an inch deep.
