When your trailer is over 80" wide, the law requires a rear ID bar for proper visibility. This 14-1/4" long by 1-3/16" tall Optronics light bar takes care of that with three bright red incandescent lights in one housing. It’s P2 or P3 rated, giving clear rear illumination so other drivers can see you from behind. Powered by a single wire that grounds through the mounting hardware, it keeps wiring simple while staying fully DOT compliant.
If your trailer ends up in the water, this light bar won’t mind. Each of the three lights is sonically sealed, creating a single waterproof unit that keeps moisture out and protects the bulbs and internal connections. It’s designed to be serviceable instead of disposable. The three Optronics MC series incandescent lights (MC95RB) are replaceable, so you can swap out any individual bulb without removing the whole bar. Each light uses a standard male 0.180 bullet connection and draws just 1 amp at 12.8V, keeping things low on power but reliable on performance.
A solid stainless steel base resists corrosion and rust even after years of exposure to road salt or water. The durable polycarbonate lens adds impact resistance while keeping the lights protected. With 8-1/2" center-to-center mounting holes and surface mount design, installation is straightforward using your existing hardware (not included).
No complex wiring needed—just one power wire and a ground through the hardware. The included 50" lead gives plenty of reach for different mounting locations on your trailer frame or rear panel, making it easy to route cleanly without splicing extensions together.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at the Submersible Red Identification Light Bar for your trailer. Now, if your trailer is wider than 80 inches, this identification light bar is designed to keep you safe and compliant on the road. This features three Optronics MC series incandescent lights. Each one is replaceable and we have the replacement part number listed on this product page.
If a bulb ever goes out, upkeep will be very simple and inexpensive because these lights are replaceable. So the entire light bar is built to handle the elements. The housing and the lenses are sonically sealed, making them fully waterproof and submersible, which is gonna be great for your boat trailers or for anyone who regularly deals with rain and spray. And then the stainless steel base is gonna help prevent rust and then the polycarbonate lenses are tough enough to resist cracking. So obviously you see that I've had this connected to my power source.
You see just how bright those incandescent bulbs are with my studio lights on. But let me go ahead and turn those studio lights off just so you can get a better idea of just how bright this is. I'm gonna go out to my wide view here. I'm gonna try to keep my wires connected and just kind of give you an idea of how bright this is. I'm gonna see if I can shine this on the wall behind me a little bit so you can see it a little bit there and shine it on my table top here.
So this is going to hold up really well for you. I think it's gonna be a pretty straightforward installation as well. Going back to my closeup and I'm gonna turn my lights back on here and I'm gonna disconnect this here so I have a little more flexibility to flip this around here just so you can see. So as I was saying, installation should be pretty straightforward. This is going to mount to the surface of your trailer.
Mounting hardware is included and this does use a single wire design that grounds through the mounting hardware. And this is DOT compliant. It does carry a P2 and P3 rating, so it does meet visibility requirements And let me go ahead and see if I can give you some measurements here. So looking at the overall length end to end, we are sitting right at 14 1/4 inches long. And then the overall height right at an inch. And then the overall thickness a little over an inch. I'm gonna call it about 1 5/16 inches. And then the mounting hole spacing is going to be, let me see if I can show that to you. It might be something that you might be interested in, lining that up here as best as I can. Looks like we're sitting pretty close to about 8 /12 inches on center on the mounting hole spacing. Each individual light is about two inches long and about an inch tall. And the wire lead here is about 50 inches. So you got quite a bit of length and flexibility when you are installing this. So durable stainless steel frame that these lights are mounted on. Perfect replacement for original light
The Light bar is good quality. I would have liked to have two wires on light bar instead of just the one wire. My trailer has two wires a negative and positive. The light bar frame is considered the ground so attaching the light bar with screws to trailer frame grounds the light bar. What do I do with my ground wire now?

This was a great product to replace the old light that usually had at least one of the 3 bulbs not working because of a bad connection in the socket due to corrosion. The mounting holes even lined up so I did not have to drill new holes and the pig tale wire was plenty long enough to make installation a snap.

4 stars because I haven't been able to install yet. The light bar came well packaged a day early. It appears to be an exact replacement for the one on my boat trailer. The old one had shorted out and this one, being LEDs, are sealed and submersible. Not my first purchase from Etrailer, and probably not my last. Great website - easy to use - great devilery and follow-up! Who does that anymore?

Excellent quality. Beautiful product. I bought this light to for my horse trailer. A lens on the existing light broke somehow. I did not even realize until I removed the original light that it was actually in horrible shape to begin with. When I received this new light, the size in dimensions were exact with the old one but it was so much better looking overall that i was actually glad that the original one broke! My trailer looks so much better now and for such a low price!!!
Been replacing taillights and clearance lights on my 1992 boat trailer. Opted for sealed LEDs to replace all the old incandescent ones that I had to work on every year to keep em going. These are brighter, sealed for water resistance and very easy to install, plus they require less power and work so much better. I'm super pleased with all the products I've gotten from e trailer, quality stuff, fast secure shipping. Picture shows Optronic tail lights I added as well. Great company, that offers great products!
