Lights work great, but it does not have a ground wire. Assembly grounds through mounting bracket. Light will not work if mounted to plastic or wood.131220

The light can still be mounted to wood or plastic surfaces with the addition of a ground wire. Take a wire and crimp an eye ring terminal on either end. One will be attached to the trailer frame, the other should make contact with the hardware and grounding points on the light. You can Y or T the wire if needed to make additional ground contacts on the light. Remember a ground requires clean, metal to metal contact. Paint or rust can interfere.
