Features to know about

Brighter and More Efficient Lighting: 3-Diode LED Design

This light delivers solid visibility with three white LEDs behind a red lens, giving you bright, even coverage while keeping power use low. At just 0.047 amps at 12.8V, it puts out strong light without putting a strain on your electrical system. LEDs last up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs, so you won’t be swapping out fragile filaments or dealing with burned-out bulbs anymore.

Reliable in Wet Conditions: Sonically Sealed and Submersible Housing

If your trailer ever sees rain or the boat ramp, this light is built to handle it. The housing and lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit that’s fully submersible. Water can’t get in to damage the diodes or circuit board, so you get dependable performance even in harsh or wet environments.

Clean, Modern Look: Miro-Flex Reflector and Black Bezel

It’s not just about function—this light looks sharp too. The Miro-Flex faceted reflector boosts light output and gives a contemporary shine when lit. The snap-on black bezel adds a finished edge that looks neat once installed, making the light stand out for all the right reasons.

Simple Surface Mount Installation: Compact and Easy to Wire

Mounting this light is straightforward. It measures 4-3/16" long by 1-3/8" wide by 3/4" thick and installs flat on the trailer surface using existing holes spaced 3-1/8" apart (hardware not included). The 2-wire pigtail makes wiring simple—one power lead and one ground wire—so you’ll have it up and running fast.

Built for Safe Visibility: P2 Rated Beam Pattern

This P2-rated light gives you a focused 90-degree beam pattern—45 degrees to each side of centerline—for clear visibility straight on. It meets DOT requirements for use as either a clearance light or a side marker light, helping keep your trailer visible and compliant wherever it goes.

Video Transcript for Review of Optronics Trailer Lights - Submersible Red Lens LED Clearance Side Marker - OP54FR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Miro-Flex Submersible Red Lens LED Clearance or Side Marker Light with Black Bezel. Now, with this little oval waterproof LED trailer light, you're gonna be able to haul safer by alerting other drivers of your trailer's position and direction of travel. As you can see, I have this connected to my 12-volt power supply already. I just wanted to give you a brief demonstration of what this looks like so you see what it looks like with my studio lights on, but lemme go ahead and turn them off to give you a better demonstration of what this is going to look like in the dark. I'm just gonna shine that on the wall behind me just to kind of give you an idea of how much light it puts out.

And then lemme see if I can give you a closeup view here without blinding you too much. So, this oval LED trailer light functions as either a clearance or side marker light, and the Miro-Flex Faceted Reflector is gonna give you increased light output with a contemporary appearance. The three white LEDs can cast up to 50, or can last rather, up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights, and they're gonna be more efficient, provide brighter light with less power output, and there's no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments to worry about. So, this is a P2-rated light. What does that mean Well, this produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its center line for a total of 90 degrees of coverage.

The beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side, as you can see. So, this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it can't function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install two separate lights on your trailer. One is the front, or rear clearance light, and one is the side marker light. Now, this light does feature a sonically sealed waterproof housing.

I'm gonna go ahead and shut that off there so I'm not continuing to blind you there. And so, this is going to allow this unit to be submersible, and this black bezel is snap-on. And so, that's going to give that light a nice, finished look, as you can see. And this is going to mount onto the surface of your trailer. Note, you're not gonna get any hardware, so you would just have to source that locally.

Whatever's gonna work best for your particular application. And again, this is going to be a red lens over white LEDs. And this is a two-pigtail connection, the two-wire pigtail connection here, so it's gonna just hard-wire into your trailer. As you can see, the color of the wires are the same, so it doesn't matter which one's gonna be ground or power. And let me go ahead and give you some measurements. Let me see if I can successfully line this ruler up here for you just so you can get a good idea of the size. So, the overall length, we are sitting slightly over four inches. The overall width at the widest point, about 1 3/8 inches. The thickness, again, it's kinda tricky here, with the shape. I'm gonna say, let's call it about 3 1/4-inches thick. And the distance between those mounting holes on center, lemme see if I can show that to you real quick. Lining that up, on center. How about 3 1/8 inches You do get a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. If you have any other questions about this light or any of the other many, many lights that we carry here at etrailer.com, don't hesitate to reach out to us, 'cause ultimately we wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, I think it's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

Great , easy to install

Though I have not hooked up yet…the lamps are an exact replacement for my Toyhauler. Gaskets or screws do not come with these lamps, though there should be a gasket with them. I have material and will make my own (see photo’s).
etrailer does well with follow up email/s along with your order/s. I’ve had no issues with any previous orders as well. Shipping took about a week through USPS.

Excellent supplier! Thank you for quick shipping!

Nice lights once you get them installed-They are bright and look nice on the 1970 Sears boat trailer.
The wires that come out the back need a 3/4" hole to fit through-so I had to drill a 3/4" hole in the trailer plus the 2 mounting screws holes.
I had as much $ in drill bits as I did with the lights

by:

Amazing lights worked perfectly plug-in play not only that but their customer service 10 out of 10 beyond happy!

These bright and waterproof little lights are wonderful. They draw only .5 watts (ie so little they will probably not make a difference to any auto, RV etc lighting circuit). I used them to enhance the dim stop and turn signal on my RV. The plastic lens were fogged and the voltage kind of low (a 40' RV has a lot of voltage drops) but these little LEDs shine bright and were a LOT cheaper than trying to replace the existing fixtures. I just wired them in parallel with the existing light bulb. So now I have a bright stop light and a built-in spare (the existing bulb could burn out and the LED will keep working). The photo shows how I did it

Bought these to replace all of the single wire, ground to the trailer type lights that were on my boat trailer. They are bright and work very well. For mounting hardware, an 8-32 machine screw fits just right. Something to be aware of, they say it’s a flush mount, but it’s not with the wires sticking out the back of the light. Instead of drilling a relief in my trailer, I opted to use some aluminum cable stops as standoffs. See pictures to further explain. Worked great in the end. These are quite bright for marker lights and and perfect for what I wanted. ETrailer has prompt shipping as usual.

I received the lights and tested
them;
they worked fine. They are destined to be used on a car, not a
trailer. Side marker lights for cars/trucks are rare now because they are
incorporated into the front and rear light assemblies and rap around the
vehicle. The lights I ordered from you are the only ones I could find that
had a hole-mount pattern wide enough to clear the metal cutouts, under the
old lights, in the fenders of my car. I'm glad you have a huge selection to
choose from. I'm not sure when I'll get around to installing them. The car
is undergoing a restoration for the third time. All I know is the next time
I remove the stock side markers, they will shatter. Few trim parts are
available for this car these days and nylon snap-in mounting tabs dry rot
and break after a couple of decades. I bought this little car new 26 years
ago and took it around the world with me before I retired from the Air
Force.

I attached a picture of it from the last touchups 7 years ago. It won't quit
running so I keep giving it new birthdays. This little rat car has become a
part of my DNA.

Exactly what I use now. Easy to replace except for the motorhome height.

by:

My trailer is super sexy now. The lights I have oredered are bright, light weught and vey well built. I can't imagine how eTrailer can sell such well built gear at such low prices. I am however very please that you do. Thanks

by:

Exact replacement! Worked perfectly.

by:

These were a direct replacement for my Intec trailer at a much cheaper price point than getting them direct. They are bright and of good quality.

by:

This fixture was the exact replacement for my 2011 Trailmanor 2720 trailer. The manufacturer had moved to a more modern looking fixture. I was even able to use the old chrome piece from the old fixture to keep a uniform age look. I installed a wireless rearview camera and needed a new fixture and its longer wires to make everything work. May look a little strange, but it works like a charm. E-Trailer service was excellent as usual.

by:

Great little lights, and very bright as well. They have been installed on a trailer and submerged many times since installed, and still work great!! Can't beat LED's for brightness and, hopefully, longevity!!! Attached is one picture of the overall trailer, and a closeup of the amber side light. I also have 2 red sidelights that are mounted above water at the rear of the trailer, and they are still working great as well.

by:

These side markers (both red and amber LED) are great for my 12' trailer. They have 3 LEDs (you can also get 4), and their size is perfect for a small trailer. The LED's are really bright, not only at night, but also during the day, so they are easily seen. I especially like the fact that they are sealed, so there should be no water intrusion problems in the future. I have included a few pictures, the first showing the round LED brake/turn/running/reverse lights (that I had purchased earlier from etrailer) with the red side marker mounted vertically on the outside. The second shows a side view of the red side marker light, and the 3rd picture shows the side marker mounted to a small piece of 1" X 1" x 1/8" aluminum angle which I painted black to match the mounting frame of the round LED lights. I mounted the LED side marker to one leg of the aluminum angle, then mounted the other leg with 1" standoffs to two holes already present on the black mounting frame of the round LED light. Although all the lights are sealed against water intrusion, I decided to mount them on each side of the trailer at the top of 2 PVC pipes, about 36" long each, where the lights would not be exposed to immersing in water when launching/retrieving a boat.

Perfect match to factory installed Front Cab Marker Lights! 2015 Tiffin Allegro Bus 45LP

by:

This item was an exact replacement for a marker light on my T@B320S trailer.. When we pulled the old light, we realized that the wiring went directly through the outside of the trailer into an inaccessible area inside the trailer. So we had to cut the old wires and rewire with wire nuts. Not sure how weatherproof this is, but it was the only way to do it. The light itself worked fine.

by:

I appreciate eTrailer for all things that attach to a hitch. They have been more than helpful for parts to update/repair second hand/eBay/Marketplace purchases. From RV stuff to my new hitch mounted spare & rack. Quick response from customer service!
