Optronics MCL63 Series Miro-Flex Red LED Marker Clearance Light Dimensions

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

P2-Rated Lights

Diagram of light spread for P2 rated light

A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

  • Replacement Clearance Light for Boat Trailer
In order to select the correct clearance light for your boat trailer, you would need to measure the light and know how it mounts. For example, the Optronics Clearance Light # MCL63RB is 4-1/16" long x 1-1/4" wide x 1-1/8" deep and is a surface mount LED light which mounts on industry standard 3" centers. I've added a link to each of our clearance lights for you to take a look at.

  • Chrome Base Recommendation for the Optronics Clearance Light # MCL63AB
Yes, the Chrome Bracket and Single Wire Plug # A67CB that you referenced is the correct base for the # MCL63AB and # MCL63RB that you plan on getting. The reason this bracket uses a single wire is because the light will ground through the mounting hardware. If you needed to run a second ground wire to the assembly you would only need to run the stripped ground wire around the mounting screw that attaches to the side of the base with the ground strap. See picture I attached to see which...

  • Does Optronics Side Marker Light # MCL63RB have to be Mounted a Specific Way
Lights that have to be mounted in a specific orientation will have TOP printed on them somewhere which I do not see on light # MCL63RB. The lens is designed to direct the light straight outward so that is likely why it is harder to see them if they are mounted high and you are close to the trailer. A lens design like that found on # MCL75RB would be a little easier to see at steeper angles. I have included a help article on trailer lighting requirements for you.

  • Mounting Bracket Recommend for Running Power and Ground Individually to Thin Line Clearance Lights
To use the # MCL63RB and run the ground and power wires directly to it you would need the part # A68P as well. This would allow you to wire up the light without having to ground the light through the mounting hardware. For a bracket you would then want the part # A65B.

  • LED Version of the Bargman 99 Incandescent Clearance Light # 3499001
The closest thing we offer to Bargman 99 Incandescent Clearance Light # 3499001 that you referenced that is an LED would be the Optronics Trailer Lights # MCL63RB. Dimensionally these lights are virtually identical. I attached a review video for this light. For an install bracket you would want the part # A65PB.

  • Replacement Side Marker Light with 3 Spacing of Mounting Holes and 4 Long x 1-1/4 Tall
You can use the Miro-Flex ThinLine LED Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light - Sumbersible - 4 Diodes - Red Lens # MCL63RB which is 4" long and 1-1/4" tall with 3" spacing between the mounting holes. I've also linked our entire selection of lights that fall within those dimensions in case you're looking for something different.

  • Replacement Side Marker Lights with Mounting Holes 3" Apart for Horse Trailer
I recommend using the Optronics Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light w/ Reflex Reflector - Incandescent - Red Lens # MC44RB, which has mounting holes 3" apart like your existing lights and will be 4" long x 1-1/2" wide. These are an incandescent light, so they'll be a good like for like replacement of your existing lights. If you're instead looking for an LED light, you can use the # MCL63RB you were looking at, which also have mounting holes 3" apart. I've also linked our entire selection...
