Fit was excellent, well constructed, easy to install. Took myself and a friend under 1 hour.

Installation was a bit more than I originally anticipated, but over all not bad. The finish could be better, but it's a hitch receiver, it doesn't have to look nice, just be tough and do the job which is exactly what it does. I have the same hitch on a nother truck which is why I bought it for this one. Awesome customer service and VERY fast shipping. Awesome product and company

Installed on a 1996 GMC Sonoma 2 WD extended cab. Purchased the light set as well. It was drop shipped to my In-Laws house very quickly. The instructions were fairly straight forward and everything fit and went together fine. This truck has a factory heavy duty suspension and tires, but the receiver tongue will still drag a bit on steep grades. The new light kits are a snap, wonderful piece of equipment. I hooked up a rental trailer and towed it from Kansas City to Orlando, no issues at all. I have purchased more than one hitch from etrailer and will do it again.
The install diagram was not clear for the type of truck I have. I have side step bumpers on an LS extended cab S10. I went [online] and found an install similar to mine and was able to see the hitch has to go on the outside of the frame. That is the reason for the 4 star rating.
I have used it a couple of times and seems to work great! It's nice to have a hitch to haul small loads or lawn mower around. A country girl has to have her truck well equipped.
The videos made installation a breeze. My experience with customer service was great. I was notified by Jan that the hitch that I ordered was out of stock, and she came up with an alternative hitch and shipped my order right away. The hitch came super fast and the packaging was the best, no damage at all. I will look to etrailer for all my trailer needs.
Expected delivery in a few weeks, but it arrived in just a few days(5).
Packaging was heavily damaged and one mounting arm was banged hard enough to require some persuasion to get back into position(mounting width and squared), plus small area repainted.
The good news was, the signal/brake/running light assembly was well protected by double cardboard as there was a big puncture in the package right near the lighting harness adapter/wiring unit position and that extra protection probably would have saved it from damage had that puncture been where the unit was.
Haven't installed yet, so can't comment on installation. Will update later.
Overall, very satisfied, and will be doing more business with etrailer in the very near future.

I ordered a Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" for my 1998 S-10 4X4. Took less than a week to get it delivered, great service from etrailer. My salesman was Steve, very courteous and helpful. And he did a follow-up when it was delivered which I appreciated, thanks Steve. The product is tough and installed like a glove.
This item along with the light wiring harness fit exactly as the unit and pick up were designed. The video installation was worth watching several times before assembly.
Very well made and worth the expense.
Everything worked great! The wiring harness and hitch were a gift to my son for his 2000 S-10, and he reported that the installation went perfectly...
Put this hitch on 2002 S-10 with step bumper. Tight fit going on. Had elongate one hole in bumper brackets to get bolts in. Make sure you remove the plastic pad on the bumper first, as you need to get to the bolts that hold the bumper to the brackets.
Otherwise it is a nice sturdy hitch.
Prompt shipping on the hitch receiver and accessories. Installation was fast and went smooth. I watched the video to preview the job. It was completed the same day we received the package. Thank you.
Good, heavy hitch.: All parts were there. No pictures. We installed outside. The box came in handy to lay on.

I have used that hitch so many times I cant count.. Hauled lumber, and tin for storm fix-up and, moved to a new place to live. A small truck, with a 5×8 trailer. So far so good!.
Product is very good. Looks very professional. Installation is easy and instructions are provided.
Shipped on time -- only issue was the box didn't survive the trip There was no damage to the hitch, It traveled well.
Other than having to cut and alter my custom dual exhaust outlets, the hitch fit like a glove and mounted easily. It hugs the bottom of my roll pan without hanging excessively low.
Etrailer.com is my GOTO place for any hitches and wiring harnesses. They never let me down. SO far, every hitch went on without a hitch. ;-) Very fast delivery also btw.
Easy install and no problems after one year of frequent use pulling small trailers with mowers, canoes, landscape mulch, and other light loads like that.
Delivered in a timely manner. Installation instructions were easy to follow and mounting hardware was easy to use. No unpleasant surprises.
For the price and quality I have 0 complaints, bought this to pull around my boat and I’ve had no issues with bolts stretching as well as the paint quality dealing with salt water, would definitely purchase again if I ever needed to
