Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

  • Replacement Trailer Wheel that Can Fit Tire Size 7.00-15LT
I was able to look at the picture of your trailer wheel/tire and see that the size is 7.00-15LT so for a wheel in the 15 inch diameter that has the 5 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern that you need we have one option with the part # TA37RR. Since your current setup uses wheel bolts instead of lug nuts you would need to verify that the center hole of your wheel is exactly 4.25 inches like what the part # TA37RR has. Hopefully this is a match as this is only option we have that matches diameter...

We offer the Steel Solid Center Trailer Wheel part # AM20053. this has the 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern your are looking for. It is a 10" rim that is 6" wide. Check out the linked video on it. This is the only wheel that we have with that lug/bolt pattern as it is fairly uncommon.

  • 5-Lug Wheel For 20.5 x 8 x 10 Tire
For a 5-lug wheel that fits a 20.5 x 8 x 10 tire, use the Steel Trailer Wheel - 10" x 6" Rim # AM20053 if you have a 5 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern or # AM20046 for a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern. If you aren't sure what your bolt pattern is, I have added a link below which tells you how to measure to see what you have.

  • Trailer Wheel With 4 Inch Pilot Hole for Tracker Boat Trailer
There is a 5 lug wheel that has a 4 inch pilot hole opening, the Steel Solid Center Trailer Wheel # AM20053 which is 10 inches in diameter and 6 inches wide with a 5 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern; it is a direct replacement for wheels on Tracker boat trailers so it should work great for you. You will then need to use tires that will fit 10 inch by 6 inch wheels and for that a great option is the Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire - 205/65-10 # AM1HP56. I have added links to video reviews of...

  • How to Measure Bolt Pattern on 4 Bolt Trailer Hub
The reason your bolt pattern measurement doesn't seem to line up with anything is because you're measuring between the adjacent bolts. The correct way to measure with an even number of bolts is center to center between opposite bolts on the hub. Once you measure this way you will likely find that you have the standard 4 on 4 bolt pattern. If you're looking for a 10" wheel like the # AM20053 you looked at with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern you could use the # AM20041. I have attached a help article...

  • Does The Center Hole/ Pilot Hole Size Matter If It Is Larger Than My Existing Wheels When Replacing?
The pilot hole on the Steel Solid Center Trailer Wheel - 10" x 6" Rim - 5 on 5-1/2 - White, # AM20053, is not an issue if it is bigger than your hub. We give the measurement of 4 inches in case the pilot hole is too small to fit over your hub center. Trailer wheels are centered on the lugs, so as long as you have the correct bolt pattern, the wheels will fit and operate correctly. Vehicle wheels are hub centric so that pilot hole is critical. Trailer wheels are lug centric so as long...

  • Availability of 10 Inch Wheel With 5 on 5 Wheel Bolt Pattern
Unfortunately, we do not. Are you certain that your wheel doesn't have a 5 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern? Take a center-to-center measurement between 2 adjacent wheel bolt holes. If that distance is 3 inches, you have a 5 on 5. If it's 3-1/4 inches, you have a 5 on 5-1/2. If it IS a 5 on 5-1/2, we do offer a 10 x 6 rim with that bolt pattern as part # AM20053. The only wheels we offer with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern would be a 15 inch rim like # AM20428. Since a 15 inch wheel almost certainly wouldn't...

  • What Size Valve Stem Hole Does Steel Solid Center Trailer Wheel # AM20053 Have
The Steel Solid Center Trailer Wheel # AM20053 that you reference have the smaller valve stem hole diameter of .453 inch. • Bolt Pattern Options for 10 Inch Diameter Trailer Wheels
I would love to help but there is not really a direct correlation between tire size and bolt pattern. If you have five bolt wheels then you will need to measure from the center of one hole to the edge of the furthest hole which is explained in the attached photo. With that being said, we do not offer any 10" diameter wheels with a 5 on 5" bolt pattern. We currently offer 10" diameter wheels with a 4 on 4" bolt pattern part # AM20041, a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern part # AM20046, and a 5 on...

  • Replacement Wheels and Tires for Pontoon Boat Trailer With 6.90/6.00-9 Tires on Split Rims
The bolt together wheels on your pontoon boat trailer are split rims. You definitely want to replace these since they are dangerous and can explode under pressure. Split rims use tires with tubes, but a modern wheel like the # AM20053 you're referencing uses tubeless tires. A 10" wheel like this works with 205/65-10 tires. I recommend getting the Kenda Loadstar 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire w/ 10" Solid Center Wheel # AM3H454. This matches your existing bolt pattern, but you will need to...

  • Looking for 14 Inch Trailer Rim With 5 On 5-1/2 Inch Bolt Pattern
Unfortunately, the only 14 inch rims we offer have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. The only rim we offer with a 5 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern is the 10 x 6 inch # AM20053. If you can't find a rim elsewhere, you might be best off swapping out your hubs for ones compatible with a more common bolt pattern. This assumes that your existing hub uses commonly available wheel bearings. If you'd care to reply with the reference numbers or the inside diameter of your inner and outer wheel bearing...

The overall diameter of the Steel Solid Center Trailer Wheel - 10" x 6" Rim - 5 on 5-1/2 - White # AM20053 you were looking at will be roughly 10-1/2" and is designed for 10" tires. The reason it is a little larger is the bead on the wheel has to be slightly larger than the tire size to keep the tire on the wheel. I included a video of the # AM20053 for you to take a look at.

It is important to note that this wheel is made with a -0.67" offset, so the tire will sit slightly farther from the trailer than it would with a standard non-offset wheel.
