The correct hitch will depend on which bumper your S-10 is equipped with.

For a factory step bumper, I'd recommend the Curt # C13132. For a roll pan bumper, you'll want to use # 13920, but you'll need to cut a hole in the license plate well and find an old-school hinged license plate holder online or from a salvage yard.

If you have a short bed truck, the # 13920 hitch will prevent the spare tire from being stowed under the vehicle.
