2014 Honda Crosstour

Easy to install and works perfectly for my bike rack.

Honda Crosstour

I bought the hitch so I could mount a bike rack for a tandem bicycle on a Honda Crosstour. The hitch works great for that purpose. Installation was straightforward, but removing the rubber rings to lower the exhaust was more challenging than I expected.

Steve S.

Trailer hitch is working great.

zero issues, great communication from support. highly recommend etrailer and this Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" Item #C11002

owned for 1 year - mounted up to my 2014 honda crosstour without any issues at all. still going strong. using it to tow a dirtbike on a 4' x 8' trailer.

Harley Davidson

I purchased a C11002 hitch for my 2010 Honda Cross Tour so I can trailer my Harley Davidson from Massachusetts to Florida and back again. The hitch was easy to install and it has worked well for me for the trip down to Florida and back to Massachusetts. I highly recommend this hitch.

Works fine but the mounting holes didn't quite line up with the attachment points on the vehicle. I had carefully bend it to get it to fit.

This hitch was an easy install and fit perfect as the instructions were clear and precise. The quality and finish are 5 Star! This is being used for a bike rack and is very sturdy. Thanks etrailer.

2014 Honda Crosstour

Performs exactly as described. Installation was easier on our 2012 Crosstour than our 2014 Crosstour.

100 great

Honda Crosstour

Great purchase for better half who uses the trailer hitch as a secondary bumper on his newer Honda Crosstour
Highly and enthusiastically recommend
Can self install but had a Chevy car dealer install in a couple of hours
Thanks again

2015 Honda Crosstour

I asked this question about the parts received before I discovered this product review option. so I will repeat my question. I got a wire harness for a 2012 Honda Crosstour. the instruction show to put a 15 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood. There also is a small container for a fuse included in the red wire of the harness. Do I need a fuse in there also? if yes ? what size? Thanks for your help.

2013 Honda Crosstour

Installation was straight forward and simple. Took me about two hours could have been less but I am pretty picky about doing everything perfect.

Great still

2013 Honda Crosstour

Hitch came in very good condition. Wiring harness had no good instructions for the 2013 Honda Crosstour.

2010 Honda Accord

Website to order was very user friendly, hitch delivery was earlier than anticipated, installation was easy. Very happy with the quality and customer service! Longevity of the build is the last part and time will tell!

Great product for the price.

I just passed the one year mark with my hitch and it's been FLAWLESS! I mean, perfect! I have towed a zero turn mower about 1/2 dozen times/month, furniture, etc and it's still going strong. It's tightly installed, durable and rugged. I highly recommend it!

2013 Honda Crosstour

This product blends very well with the existing bumper- actually looks like OEM. Plan to use this to tow a 14' dinghy trailer with about 1,000 lbs of weight.

We ordered this hitch for Christmas for our daughter. We had ordered the wrong style she wanted and when we went to exchange they were prompt about getting the new one out to us. They were on top of it all. The hitch hasn't been installed on the car for further review.

I can sum up my thoughts simply easy, easy ,easy ! I think this hitch is built to a higher standard that is to say Robustly I have no worries as to whether it will prove capable to its intended task , and that's just Nice Ya gotta love that !

Solid heavy construction.

The fitment videos are really helpful. The honest product review vids are great too.

Install was super easy, fit perfect, great instructions. Very solid unit.

Awesome experience and product!
hitch arrived in just a couple of days & it only cost me $65 to have it installed (1.25 hrs).
Thanks again!

Durable, excellent product, highly recommended...trouble free!

Still great after one year!

All went well. Quick delivery and correct part.

2012 Honda Crosstour

So far so good. Had it installed last night so we didn't really use it yet, but it looks good.

Easy to install perfect fit very durabl e.

  • Correct Trailer Hitch for a 2011 Honda Crosstour
The Honda Crosstour is part of the Accord family and we do have a trailer hitch option for the 2011 model. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11002 which is a bolt-on fit. It has a class I rating with 1-1/4" receiver tube opening.

  • Why Cant More than 2 Bikes be Carried on a Class I Trailer Hitch on a 2013 Honda Crosstour
That is correct. On a Class I hitch it isn't the weight that is the issue. It is how far that weight is from the hitch receiver. A third and subsequent bikes will be too far from the receiver which will put a lot of extra stress on the hitch and where it attaches to the vehicle. If you have ever used a long wrench or breaker bar to loosen a lug nut it is the same concept: if the lever is long enough it takes very little force to loosen that nut. And if the weight on a bike rack is far enough...

  • Solution for Hitch Install Where Weldnut of Vehicle Frame Gets Stripped
I have to recommend you find a way to use that mounting point on your hitch. What you will need to do is find the next size up thread tap and tap the threads to the next size up and source a bolt with the matching threads so that you can secure the hitch with all of the intended holes. If you do not use all of the mounting points of the hitch the warranty would be voided regardless of how you plan to use the hitch.

  • Will the Curt Hitch # C11002 Fit a 2012 Honda Crosstour AWD EX-L
The Curt Hitch # C11002 will fit on your 2012 Honda Crosstour AWD EX-L model. My tech contact at Curt confirmed the fit and the installation instructions lists the fit for your model Crosstour. This hitch does not require drilling or welding for installation, it uses a bolt-on design for a simpler process. To bolt on your hitch, you will be using weld nuts already found on your vehicle that can be dirty and hard to use. I attached a help article on how to clean the weld nuts on your vehicle...

  • Installing Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2013 Honda Crosstour
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11002 that you purchased is a direct fit for your 2013 Honda Crosstour. The M10 bolts likely won't fit because there is rust and corrosion built up in the open holes and the weld nuts in the frame. Using lubricant and a wire brush usual solves the problem. I've linked an article on cleaning weld nuts for you as well.

  • Class I Cargo Carrier for a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour
I recommend the 20 x 47 Reese Cargo Carrier, part # 63155 for your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. This combines a mesh floor and raised sides to give you extra versatility in cargo carrying. It is rated to carry up to 300lbs, though you'll want to verify your towing and tongue weight capacity in your owner's manual prior to use. This would work great with your Curt Class I Hitch, part # C11002. This is a no drill installation and I've included a video detailing that process on the 2012...

  • Solution for Stripped Weld Nut When Installing Trailer Hitch
If you can access an open end of the frame where the weld nut broke off you could fishwire a new carriage bolt in place of the weldnut. Otherwise you may have to weld the hitch on or see if a local garage like you mentioned could come up with a way to re-weld in a weld nut. For a bolt leader you could then use the # C58400. I attached a link to an install video that at the 1:30 mark shows how to fishwire hitch hardware. You will need to drill out the old weld nut.

  • Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2011 Honda Accord
For your 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour you would have to use a 1-1/4 inch hitch like the Curt Hitch part # C11002. 2 inch hitches are designed for larger vehicles like SUVs trucks and vans. For a bike rack you would have to go with one that is confirmed to fit a Class I hitch, using an adapter would be a great idea since they cut the capacity of the hitch they are used on in half. The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack...

The crossbar on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11002 is bowed outward towards the rear of your 2013 Honda Accord Crosstour to allow for removal of the spare tire while installed. This is further explained at the :20 second mark in the attached video of an older hitch. The Curt has a similar design. • Best Hitch For 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour For A Bike Rack
The Curt Hitch part # C11002 is a custom fit for your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour and it is your best option for the use of a bike rack. The Curt Hitch gives you a little over 3 inches more ground clearance then the Draw-Tite version for this vehicle so the bike rack is less likely to drag the ground if you are ever in a low ground clearance situation. • Can I Use My Older Thule Vertex XT Bike Rack With Curt Hitch On 2013 Honda Crosstour
The Curt Hitch part # C11002 fits the 2013 Honda Crosstour and is a Class I hitch so the Vertex would need to be class I compatible for it to fit. Thule no longer produces the Vertex bike racks but there were a few different versions of the Vertex in production at one time. There are 2 trailer hitches confirmed to fit your 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour model: - EcoHitch # 306-X7299 - Curt # C11002 I prefer the EcoHitch because it has a hidden crosstube and a 2" hitch receiver, but if you're needing something more economical then the Curt is the best choice for you - just understand this has a Class I 1-1/4" receiver and a visible crosstube so your accessories will be a bit more limited and you might have less ground clearance because of the crosstube. For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball you can use part # 19256, and for a 2 inch hitch ball you can use part # 19258. If you need a trailer connector on your Crosstour I recommend part # 118642. I took a look online and the 2011 Honda Accord has a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 lbs so the capacity of all the available hitches would be well over what the vehicles can handle. This is common practice amongst hitch manufacturer's and why we advise customers to verify their vehicle's actual capacity and not go off of what the hitch can do. The hitches available for your 2015 Honda Crosstour are all Class I, which would have a 2000 lbs towing/200 lb tongue weight capacity.
