Running wires or splicing into a vehicle’s lighting system can be a hassle. The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector skips all that by plugging directly into factory connectors. The harness uses a powered converter to safely draw power for trailer lights without interfering with the vehicle’s wiring. It’s a straightforward setup that keeps everything neat and hidden behind trim panels.
Once installed, the harness provides a standard 4-flat trailer connector for running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. You can simply pull the connector out of the rear hatch when it’s time to tow, then tuck it away when not in use. It’s convenient and eliminates the need for permanent exterior mounting or drilling through body panels.

The integrated powered converter isolates the trailer wiring from the vehicle’s electrical system. This reduces strain on factory circuits and prevents feedback or overloading when connecting trailer lights. It’s a dependable setup that keeps both vehicle and trailer lights working right every time you hook up.
Depending on the vehicle configuration, some installations require adding a fuse in the under-hood panel to activate the circuit. The Curt design makes this step easy—just follow the instructions for your specific setup and check the fuse location as indicated. Once that’s done, everything is powered up and ready to haul.
This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

These were better instructions than in the piece of paper that came with the harness. The instructions coming with the harness say to look in the right side... do NOT do that. the instructions are wrong and will cause you a lot of headache taking the car panels off... only to read the instructions above and realize you could have been done in 5 minutes.

I could not find the mating connector on 2013 RDX. Did you install this on 2013? I removed the floor spacer on the passenger side and the connector was not there. I called Curt and they said its moved to the driver side. I remove the floor spacer on the driver side. Still no connector to be found. Curt said they just found this out from an owners manual. The owners manual has no reference to this. Ended up taking apart for nothing and ended up with broken trim fasteners which I had to pay money to replace.
