Question:
The 1.75 mm bolt or weld nut on my 2018 ford transit hitch is stripped. The nut turns but doesn’t tighten. Can I reinforce the hitch to the frame with U bolts w/straps? Do you sell taps and bolts in larger sizes?...thanks

If you can access an open end of the frame where the weld nut broke off you could fishwire a new carriage bolt in place of the weldnut. Otherwise you may have to weld the hitch on or see if a local garage like you mentioned could come up with a way to re-weld in a weld nut.
For a bolt leader you could then use the # C58400. I attached a link to an install video that at the 1:30 mark shows how to fishwire hitch hardware. You will need to drill out the old weld nut.
