Hidden Cross Tube for a Clean, Factory Look

The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once the hitch is installed, only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. This means that your vehicle can maintain its stylish, from-the-factory look, and you won't have to do any major modifications to its body or frame.

Eco-Friendly Material

With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will withstand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.

Rigorous Strength Testing Ensures Durability

This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

Very easy install. Follow the provided instructions and you wont have a problem. Took me 80 minutes by myself. Before you start get a few extra plastic bumper retainers, you might break some or have some missing like i did. I couldnt be happier and its 2"! Worth every penny and i would buy it again in a heartbeat. Thanks etrailer.com

Still amazing. Better looking than the stock or other aftermarket as this is tucked under and way more pleasing to the eye. You wont catch a shin on this and for that Im thankful. Worth absolutely every penny.

E Trailer made the buying process very easy. Easy to install for a first timer in a couple hours and by far the best looking hitch for my Honda Crosstour. The only issue I ran into were the sensors in the bumper for the back up alarm would not fit in the holes because of the extra thickness of the hitch behind the crash bar. Disconnected them and cut them in half to fit flush in the holes.

Still 5 stars! Great hitch for my Hollywood Bike Rack. Great choice for my Honda Crosstour!

by:
Honda Crosstour

This has been a great addition to our Crosstour. Installation was not difficult and it looks great - somewhat recessed, but not such that it impedes usage.

by:
2015 Honda Crosstour

It bolted right up. I have only 2 minor improvements to the directions that I would suggest. A list of the tools needed would be nice. The other thing is that the pictures are too small. Especially the one that shows you where to cut the plastic on the bumper skin.

The hitch arrived fine. The installation went very smooth. The only small probLem was with the Honda push pin. You have to replace them with new. I replaced those push pins with clip nuts and 3/16" bolts. Worked fine. Here is a picture of the installation .

Excellent product, highly recommended, install much easier than it looks, I was done in 90 minutes and I am not a professional. Work recommend the Torklift Products…very well made!!

by:

100% yes would recommend. Top notch product and the website is easy to use. Free shipping and arrived very quickly well packaged.

by:

Very easy 1 person install following directions. Don’t understand the listing saying 10/10 difficulty. Maybe took and 1 hour 15 minutes. I trimmed the foam pad to reinstall and turned out great. I did pre purchase push pin clips based on prior reviews and used a couple as the stock ones were brittle

by:

Easy install, simple instructions to follow. Did smaller opening than instructed ( 3” x 1 1/4” ) so the cut is almost invisible

by:
Ford Edge

The hitch installed without any interference. There was no video available for this but there should be. I watched some Accord videos assuming the bumper cover restraints were similar and they were. You really need the plastic tool for disengaging these so as to not break out the plastic keepers on the cover. I had this tools so it went well for me. I had to jack up each side to create some clearance between the fender and the tire to remove one of the screws. I would also advise having replacements for the 6 plastic retainers that are removed to get the cover off. Mine all fell apart and again I was glad i was prepared and had these. This install requires cutting a small area of the cover away for clearance. My hitch did not have the trim piece called out to put over this cut edge. It looks fine to me without it so I am happy enough. I love the hitch and have already used it. I believe the instructions said the assembly time is 2 hours. I moved right along but it still took me closer to 3 hours.

The first note here is that I installed this on a Honda Crosstour. I dont know why this review says Ford Edge? Anyway it has been a year and I use this hitch quite a bit. I spun my car into the ditch in a particularly bad winter day and pulled it out by pulling on this hitch. I put a strap hook into one of the safety chain holes and jerked straight sideways on the car in deep snow. I was pretty worried we were going to jack up the car good but after jerking it 20 or 30 times it finally popped out of the ditch with no damage. Its a good strong hitch and distributes the load into the cars body effectively. I would certainly buy again.

by:

Product is as promised. Had it professionally installed. Only draw back was the box the hitch arrived in was slightly damaged where the hitch broke thru and part of it was sticking out. If the box was slightly bigger this wouldn’t have happened. Hitch was not damaged..

This was the only 2inch receiver hitch option for my 2013 Honda Crosstour. I’ve had it installed now for about a year have no complaints whatsoever. I am very happy with this hitch and would recommend it to anyone with a Honda Crosstour.

by:

This hitch was easy to install, and has served me very well. I use it with a crago tray, which provides a great solution for additional storage on longer trips.

by:

Perfect fit on my 2012 Honda crosstour EX-L. Easy to install. Arrived on time. I saw a lot of reviews where the bumper cover had to be trimmed back to fit around the hitch but I was able to make mine fit without trimming. I especially like the design of the eco hitch because all the hardware is tucked up underneath the bumper cover and is protected from rust which is a major problem here in Ohio. There was a slight amount of play in the receiver which caused some clunking going down a bumpy road but that is expected in a lot of hitches and was easily fixed with $10 hitch tightened from [online]

by:

This hitch was a bit involved to install but not terrible. The instructions were good. I had to remove the whole bumper cover but that wasn’t too difficult. The steel bumper works in conjunction with the hitch so it is super solid. The 2 inch receiver is the only thing visible - the rear of the hitch is hidden which is the best. It does not stick out too far. We did not bother to trim the bumper cover and it looks good and bay has slight pressure on the receiver - you’d never know unless I pointed it out.

by:
2010 Honda Accord

The EcoHitch was the answer to my prayers. I looked all over the country for a hitch that would fit my 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. This one bolts nicely behind the bumper mount. After studying installation on YouTube, I took it to a body shop! Just didn't want to mess with the bumper hardware the actual mounting setup looked straightforward. The installation only cost $150. In any event, it works great. The eyelets on either side of the hitch allow me to lock my bike rack to the hitch for extra security. Great product.

by:
2010 Honda Crosstour

Originally I purchased a Curt hitch but when I received it I realized it was not what I wanted. The EcoHitch is a great product and it works awesome. I installed it on my 2010 crosstour and have been towing a 5 x 8 trailer with my car ever since. I did beef up the transmission cooler since that crosstour stock towing capacity is pretty low.

by:
2011 Honda Accord

This is a fantastic hitch for my 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour. It is the only choice that offers a 2" receiver. Installation was not fast because of unexpected difficulty removing rear bumper cover push pins underneath. Two push pins broke during removal and must be replaced. The cutout was not perfect, but close enough and finished result is very satisfying. Added benefit of stronger rear end protection for the car. Now able to use for e-bike rack or towing a small boat, motor, and trailer under 1,500 lbs as that is tow limit for this vehicle. Hitch is rated for tongue weight of 500 lb which is perfect for 2 e-bikes under 100 lb each.

by:

This is a really great product. I have seen other cars like mine, 2012 Honda Crosstour, with aftermarket trailer hitches. This one is far better. It was easy to install, and looks like factory. I've had it over a year. Very pleased.

by:

Received our 2" hitch at a good price in good time. We needed a 2" receiver for our vehicle just for our bike rack and etrailer made it extremely easy to find the correct product!

by:
Honda Crosstour

The hitch worked great on out Honda crosstour. We had a problem with the first place to install it and had to find another place to put it on. It is a real close fit to the bumper but looks fantastic, you hardly know its there.

I took a look online and the 2011 Honda Accord has a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 lbs so the capacity of all the available hitches would be well over what the vehicles can handle. This is common practice amongst hitch manufacturer's and why we advise customers to verify their vehicle's actual capacity and not go off of what the hitch can do.
