This Curt hitch gives you solid towing muscle for everyday jobs and weekend hauling. It’s rated for 5,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 500 lbs maximum tongue weight, or up to 7,500 lbs GTW and 750 lbs TW when using weight distribution. The 2" x 2" receiver works with most cargo carriers, bike racks, and ball mounts, so you can use the same hitch for nearly anything you need to tow or haul.
The fully welded design bolts straight to the frame for a clean fit—no welding required. It comes with a complete hardware kit and installation instructions so you can handle the setup yourself in a driveway or garage. The fit is custom-designed for precision alignment, saving time and making the install straightforward even for a first-time DIYer.
Curt uses powder-coated steel over a protective base coat to fight corrosion from road salt, rain, and grime. The sturdy square-tube build keeps flex to a minimum when towing or carrying gear. With precision, robotic welding throughout the frame, this hitch stays strong and aligned through years of use on the road.

Hi Karon, Thanks for your feedback! The side plates of the trailer hitch are made out of mild steel so that they can flex while towing, reducing the stress put on the hitch and the vehicle. As a result they can flex during shipping, causing issues while installing. I have attached a helpful-article that will help show you how to flex the hitch back into place.

Thank you for sending the pictures! It looks that the side brackets were knocked out of alignment which is why the bolt holes are not lining up. This can happen while in transit to our facility or to you. We do have a great FAQ that provides ways to move the brackets back into alignment so the hitch can be installed.

Havent used this product to actually tow anything, so I cant speak to its effectiveness in that area. It has been used to mount a salt spreader during the winter months, and it has held up well to about 400LBS of weight on bumpy roads without an issue.
