Question:

Hello, I have a 2003 Tundra with the factory bumper with ball mount. I want to install a frame mounted trailer hitch to lower the ball location. Will this hitch work with my factory towing bumper? Cheers.

Yes, you can install Curt trailer hitch # 13184 on your 2003 Toyota Tundra with the factory towable bumper. I have included a link to a video showing an example installation for you.

I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

I assume since you have already been towing that you have a wiring harness/trailer connector already on the truck. But if not then you can use # C59496 to add a 4-Way flat to the rear of the truck.
