Video Transcript for All You Need to Know About the Mounting Pins for Maxtrax Xtreme Recovery Boards

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look at these mounting pins for your MAXTRAX Xtreme Recovery Boards. Now these mounting pins are going to let you secure two or four MAXTRAX Xtreme Recovery Boards onto your crossbars or platform rack. And these are gonna be perfect to use with compatible Recovery Board brackets that mount to your roof rack. The quick release pins are going to insert through the pinholes on the board, and then bolt onto your over landing system.

The bolt length, lemme go ahead and remove the nut and washer here and bring a ruler up here just to show you. The bolt length is right at 11/16 of an inch. And this does include the washer, so you're gonna get four washers and four M10 nuts along with these four pins. And I have that hardware on the bottom of each of those pins. And these are gonna be very easy to use.

Once you have these mounted, you're just going to slide your boards over the pins and then just move this or rotate this a notch, and then that's going to lock the boards in place. And then if you have more than two boards and you would just turn this section of the pin, and then that's going to secure four boards onto these pins. So you're gonna do that with each of these pins, and it really does have a nice, tight fit. So the turning mechanism isn't going to like happen by itself, you just gotta give it a nice firm turn. And then that's going to secure your boards onto these pins.

Now if you notice when I turn these, the quick release mechanism here, we do have a hole here at the top of the pins to let you secure a small padlock to deter theft. So once you have your boards in place, you can lock them onto your rack. And if you don't have a padlock, take a look at the related product section on this product page, and we do have some padlock options for you. The nylon and stainless steel construction is going to be very strong and very durable. And again, this includes everything that you see here on the table before me.

So these are gonna be very easy to install, very easy to operate. It's gonna be a great way to not only mount your recovery boards, your MAXTRAX, MAXTRAX Xtreme Recovery Boards to your rack or to your crossbars, but it's gonna be a great way to secure them as well.
