Extensive Testing
InfiniteRule products undergo extensive third-party testing to determine shear strength. The shear strength is determined by placing the hitch lock in a stress position and subjecting it to increasing force until a required proof load (maximum force received without deformity) is met or the pin fails. This lock has a shear strength of 42,000 lbs
Installation
The short pin included with this set is used as a hitch lock to secure your B&W Tow & Stow 10K or 14.5K adjustable ball mount to your 2" or 2-1/2" hitch. 2 Long pins are used to secure your ball mount platform to the ball mount. The additional long pin is used to secure your ball to your ball mount platform.

If buying for the B&W Tow&Stow, you don't need all four with most vehicles to prevent someone from stealing a part of your ball hitch. The design itself is anti-theft, but it is nice to know this might prevent someone from attempting. Feels like a solid product. We will see how the locking mechanism holds up, but I think this will be a lot better than other lock versions that have frozen up on me. Nice to have 4 keys as well.
Lock pins are great quality and work smoothly. The b&w hitch is awesome. I have multiple trailers with a three size couplers so not having to carry multiple hitches save time, space, and money.

The B&W tow and stow hitch has been great! Solid hold on all the trailers that I pull with no play in the receiver, which gives me confidence that my load is secure! The locking pins provide that extra touch of security! Highly recommend these products!

Tolerance is so close that you have to remove the warning labels before inserting into hitch. Not a big deal except the glue used for the sticker requires solvent and a Brillo pad to get off.

I reached out to B&W and it is recommended to use a white lithium grease like part # L11354, as well as keep everything clean.

I just received the locking pins for my trailer hitch and have not installed them yet, just waiting for the weather to cooperate. I’m sure they are going to work just right and look forward to installing them.
Excellent quality
These are all great quality and the need for a receiver locking pin is a given. However, the three position locking pins are not really necessary and make flipping the Tow & Stow more hassle than it has to be. No one can steal the hitch if it is locked onto the receiver. The most that they could make off with would be the cotter keyed pins that come with the mount ... which would make it unusable until replacements are obtained, but if I was worried about that, I'd just carry a spare set of them rather than the locking ones.

The 3 locking pins provide more security for your B&W Tow & Stow. The 1 longer pin secures the hitch ball to the ball platform, 2 other locking pins secure the ball platform to the shank and the final locking pin secures the shank to the trailer hitch receiver.

Everything fit perfectly. Everything looks durable. However, I expected a solid piece of steel for the hitch, but it's hollow. The product description says it's rated for 10k pounds. I've already used it to hook up and pull my 21'fiber glass boat. Everything works great so far. It would have been nice to choose a hook over a third ball that I probably won't use.
These things fit super tight. I have a high level of confidence in these to last a long time. Solid product. For the tow and stow application I’m a huge fan of this item.
Make sure you have Goo Gone Liquid Adhesive Remover 8 oz...to remove those nasty warning decals that are on every pin...:)
These pins make your investment in your B&W Tow and Stow Ball mount will be there when you come out to your truck...:)
