Question:

I really like the 18k tow and stow 3-ball mount. the one for the 2-1/2 inch hitch, but i would like to be able to lock it to my hitch and also lock the ball mount. is there something that will let me do that?

There is a way for you to not only lock the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount - Compatible with GM MultiPro Tailgate - 2.5" Hitch - 148K # BWTS20067BMP to your 2-1/2 inch trailer hitch, but also the ball platform to the mount, and the hitch balls to the ball platform.

All you need to lock it is the InfiniteRule Locking Pins for B & W Tow and Stow 10K and 14.5K Ball Mounts # 34061775-D.

I have added a photo a customer sent in which shows how this works. It comes with four locks, one for the entire ball mount, which is going to lock it to your hitch receiver; two more which lock the ball mount platform in place; and another which locks the hitch balls to the platform.

Do the locks extend a ways out from the hitch? Do I need o rings for all 4?

The locks do extend out a bit from the ball mount assembly - they won't sit flush with the unit. The picture Kyle posted above does a nice job of showing just how far out they'll protrude. The O-rings you mentioned come included for all 4 locks, so this isn't something you need to add separately.

For that much money you can dang near just buy another one if it gets stolen! Who spends $170 plus tax and shipping to keep a $200 hitch from being stolen????
